If you mean Fishing Village in Rust, budget 125 scrap for a Motor Rowboat or 300 scrap for an RHIB as reference prices. A secondary guide updated in October 2026 lists submarines at 200 scrap for a Solo Submarine and 300 scrap for a Duo Submarine. These are in-game scrap amounts, not real-world prices; check the boat shop’s displayed cost before buying because prices may vary.
Rust boat prices at Fishing Village
| Vessel | Reference cost | Price basis |
|---|---|---|
| Motor Rowboat | 125 scrap | Facepunch later recorded a reduction to this price; a secondary guide updated in October 2026 identifies the boat as the Motor Rowboat. Facepunch Tech Tree Update; secondary guide. |
| RHIB | 300 scrap | Facepunch later recorded a reduction to this price. Facepunch Tech Tree Update. |
| Solo Submarine | 200 scrap | Reported as a base price by a secondary guide updated in October 2026; not independently established by the official update passages cited here. secondary guide. |
| Duo Submarine | 300 scrap | Reported as a base price by a secondary guide updated in October 2026; not independently established by the official update passages cited here. secondary guide. |
These are reference or base amounts, not guaranteed prices for every server or visit. The secondary guide warns that demand-driven variation can affect the price shown. Since current server-specific prices have not been independently observed, rely on the cost displayed in the boat shop when you are ready to purchase.
Why older guides show different prices
When Facepunch introduced Fishing Village boat vendors in its September 3, 2020 Boat Vendor Update, the listed prices were 200 scrap for a rowboat and 400 scrap for an RHIB. Facepunch later recorded reductions to 125 scrap for a boat and 300 scrap for an RHIB in its Tech Tree Update. The later figures are the better official reference, so older launch prices should not be treated as current baseline prices.
Fishing Villages were introduced as safe zones where players could buy boats. Facepunch’s update stated: “Fishing villages are safe zones and hostile action will result in a swift death.” Facepunch Boat Vendor Update

How to check the price before buying
- Go to a Fishing Village in Rust and find the boat shop.
- Look at the vessel’s displayed price before making the purchase. Treat the listed amounts above as reference prices, since the vendor’s displayed cost may differ.
- Make sure you have enough scrap for the price shown in that shop.
Fishing Villages also let players exchange fish for scrap, and Facepunch’s Going Deep update confirms submarines can be purchased from boat shops there. Facepunch Going Deep update

The title does not identify a real-world location or a particular boat listing. There is therefore no defensible real-money price to give: a useful estimate would require the location, vessel type and size, condition, intended use, and what equipment or engine is included. The scrap prices above apply only if you mean the in-game Fishing Village in Rust.
