Taylor Swift Touring reported that the Eras Tour generated $2,077,618,725 in gross ticket sales and drew 10,168,008 attendees. Pollstar published a higher figure—$2,201,107,485—but identified it as an estimate, not a second official accounting. Both numbers put the tour above $2 billion; they measure box-office sales, not Swift’s profit or total tour income.

What were the Eras Tour’s final ticket-sales figures?

ABC News reported on December 9, 2024, that Taylor Swift Touring gave the tour’s gross ticket sales as $2,077,618,725 and attendance as 10,168,008. Guinness World Records lists the same gross and ticket count, attributing them to figures reported to Billboard Boxscore.

Pollstar’s December 13, 2024, year-end announcement put the gross at $2,201,107,485 and explicitly described its total as an estimate. Its December 9 report had rounded that figure to $2.2 billion and estimated 10.055 million tickets.

Why are the reported totals different?

The figures have different sources and methods. ABC News reported the total Taylor Swift Touring provided; Guinness records the same figure based on numbers reported to Billboard Boxscore. Pollstar’s total is an independent estimate. It combined box-office reports with research into ticket prices by market, venue capacities, premium seating, comparable tours and historical venue sales, among other inputs. Pollstar said Swift’s actual ticket-sale figures had not been reported to it in the prior two years, so its total should not be presented as an official accounting.

The difference between the two gross figures is $123,488,760. It reflects the distinction between a reported total and Pollstar’s estimated total; it does not establish that one source counted additional revenue such as merchandise or sponsorships.

What did the tour’s scale look like?

Guinness lists 149 shows across 51 stadiums, 19 countries and five continents, from March 17, 2023, through December 8, 2024. The final show was at BC Place in Vancouver. Guinness, citing Billboard Boxscore figures, lists an average ticket price of $204.33 and average attendance of 68,242. Pollstar separately estimated average attendance at 67,487, another measure that should be attributed to its estimate rather than treated as the same count.

Pollstar described a roughly 3.5-hour performance with about 40 songs arranged in 10 sections reflecting Swift’s albums. After The Tortured Poets Department came out in April 2024, material from that album was added to the show.

Does $2 billion mean Swift earned or kept $2 billion?

No. Gross ticket sales are the money attributed to ticket sales before accounting for costs and other financial arrangements. The cited totals do not establish Swift’s personal take-home earnings, the tour’s profit, or all of its income. They also do not provide a complete accounting of expenses, merchandise, sponsorships, the concert film or local economic impact.

Pollstar’s estimate is based on box-office-related information and ticket estimates, not a full accounting of every tour-related business. The sources cited here do not report an independently audited consolidated profit figure.
