How Much Did Susan Olsen Make on The Brady Bunch—and What’s Known About Her Estate?

Susan Olsen’s reported weekly pay and limited rerun payments are not a full earnings record. The often-cited $2 million net-worth estimate is not an estate valuation.

Susan Olsen’s reported pay on The Brady Bunch was a weekly salary during production, followed by limited payments from reruns under the contract terms she described. But the available reporting does not establish her total career earnings or the value of her estate. A frequently repeated $2 million figure is a third-party net-worth estimate, not a verified estate valuation.

How much was Susan Olsen reportedly paid on The Brady Bunch?

Olsen played Cindy Brady. Secondary reporting puts the child actors’ peak weekly salary at $1,100, with Barry Williams describing that amount as the highest child salary in the show’s final season. The figure is a reported cast-level rate, not a disclosed copy of Olsen’s individual contract or a record of her lifetime earnings.

TV Series Finale’s 2016 retrospective and Celebrity Net Worth report the weekly pay figure. Neither provides a complete accounting of Olsen’s compensation.

Did Olsen receive money when the show aired in reruns?

Olsen’s reported account was that the relevant contracts covered only the first 10 reruns. Those runs had aired by around 1979, after which the payments she described ended. This is her account of the contracts involved, not a universal rule about television residuals.

In a 2013 interview, Olsen said, “We’ve made no money since then.” The Daily Beast quoted the line in a 2026 report about subsequent payments from The Brady Bunch. In context, it refers to money from the show after those residual payments ended—not to all income Olsen may have earned from other work.

The limits Olsen described help explain why a popular, widely rerun program does not automatically mean its performers continued receiving substantial payments. They do not establish how much she earned overall or whether her original pay was fair relative to the show’s value; the available reporting does not include her contract, the series’ revenue accounting, or a complete earnings record.

Is Susan Olsen’s estate worth $2 million?

No verified estate valuation is established by the available sources. Celebrity Net Worth lists an estimated net worth of $2 million, but its figure is a third-party estimate, not an audited financial statement, probate inventory, or valuation of an estate.

Net worth and estate value are also different measures. Net worth is an estimate of assets minus liabilities at a given point; an estate valuation concerns assets and liabilities handled after death. The Los Angeles Times’ 2023 report identifies Olsen as Cindy Brady and discusses earlier false death reports caused by confusion with another Susan Olsen, but it does not document an estate valuation. The sources cited here do not support calling her estate “relatively small” or treating an estate as established.

What the reported numbers do—and do not—show

Figure or claim What it refers to What it cannot establish
$1,100 per week Secondary reporting describes this as the child actors’ peak weekly salary; Williams’s account places it at the highest child salary in the final season. Celebrity Net Worth and The Daily Beast report the figure. Olsen’s individually verified contract, total pay, or lifetime earnings.
First 10 reruns; payments ended around 1979 Olsen’s reported explanation of the residual terms and when those runs had aired, summarized by TV Series Finale. A universal rule for actors’ contracts or a complete account of Olsen’s income.
$2 million Celebrity Net Worth’s estimate of Olsen’s net worth; its page cautions that estimates may be inaccurate. A verified personal financial disclosure or estate valuation.

No original contract, audited earnings statement, estate filing, or probate valuation is established in the cited reporting. The responsible answer is therefore limited: published accounts describe weekly pay and restricted rerun payments, while Olsen’s complete earnings and estate value remain unverified.
