Can you turn an MGM settlement E-Mastercard into Amazon credit?

Whether a prepaid-card purchase works can depend on the card’s issuer controls, registration requirements, available balance, authorization, and Amazon’s purchase rules. The settlement FAQ does not supply card terms or confirm Amazon gift-card purchase acceptance. Do not treat this route as guaranteed or as a settlement-endorsed method. If a recipient did complete it, that is an individual result, not proof that it will work for all recipients.

The FAQ says recipients who received a payment-election email from [email protected] had not chosen a specific digital method on their claim form and could then select an offered option. How much could a claimant receive?
The settlement described estimated tier payments based on the type of information exposed: $75 for Social Security or military identification exposure, $50 for passport or driver’s license exposure, and $20 for name, address, and/or date-of-birth exposure. These were estimates under the 2025 settlement terms, not guaranteed individual payments; amounts could increase or decrease pro rata depending on valid claims and whether the fund was exhausted. Claimants with supported financial losses related to the incidents could seek documented-loss payments up to $15,000, subject to the settlement’s requirements. The agreement also provided one year of financial account monitoring for valid claims; it specified CyEx Identity Defense Total, three-bureau monitoring, and at least $1,000,000 in fraud/identity-theft insurance.
