How Many New Nonstop Destinations Did Nashville Add in 2025?

Nashville International Airport (BNA) forecast a net increase of 15 nonstop destinations for summer 2025, rising from its previous record of 99 to a target of 114. That figure describes growth in BNA’s destination total—not a confirmed count of exactly 15 routes that began service during calendar 2025.

How many new nonstop destinations did BNA expect in 2025?

BNA outlined a staged increase in its nonstop-destination count: 109 by the end of April, 113 between May and July, and 114 after Southwest’s Louisville service began on August 5. The airport described 114 as a new summer record, above its previous record of 99. BNA’s April 2025 announcement gives the forecast and milestone timing.

In an August 2025 update, the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority reported 113 nonstop destinations as of July and said the total was expected to reach 114 on August 5. That update is a reported July count paired with a forecast for the Louisville milestone.

Which new BNA flights were highlighted for 2025?

BNA and its airport authority highlighted four route milestones. The list is not a complete accounting of every destination contributing to the net increase.

Destination Airline Scheduled start Service detail
Memphis, Tennessee Southwest April 8, 2025 BNA’s 100th nonstop destination and, at that point, its only intrastate route.
Reykjavík, Iceland Icelandair April 10, 2025 Seasonal service, planned four days per week in the airport’s route announcement.
Dublin, Ireland Aer Lingus April 12, 2025 New transatlantic service.
Louisville, Kentucky Southwest August 5, 2025 Inaugural service associated with the airport’s 114-destination milestone.

BNA’s April release covers the Memphis, Dublin and Louisville milestones as well as the destination-count forecast. The airport’s Memphis announcement describes the 100th-destination milestone, while its route announcement for Reykjavík service identifies the seasonal schedule. The authority’s August update provides the July count and anticipated Louisville date: 113 destinations in July, with 114 expected August 5.

Does the increase mean exactly 15 routes launched in 2025?

No. Fifteen is the difference between BNA’s previous record of 99 nonstop destinations and its forecast summer total of 114. The airport announcements support that net increase, but do not establish that exactly 15 individual routes began operating during calendar 2025. A destination count and a launch count are different measures: routes may be announced in one year and start in another, and BNA’s highlighted milestones are not a full route-by-route reconciliation.

Which routes announced in 2025 started later?

In August 2025, BNA announced five Southwest destinations—Montego Bay, San José, Knoxville, Little Rock and Montrose—with service scheduled to begin in March 2026. They belong in a list of routes announced during 2025, but not in a count of routes launching that year. BNA’s announcement gives the destinations and scheduled start month.

How should travelers check whether a flight is available now?

Dates and service plans in the airport announcements describe scheduled milestones, not a guarantee that a flight remains available on a particular date. Check the airline’s current booking schedule before planning a trip, especially for seasonal service such as BNA to Reykjavík. BNA’s route table is labeled as October 2026 data, so it is a current listing rather than a historical record of which routes operated in 2025: BNA’s nonstop-destinations list.
