Lucra announced a partnership with Dave & Buster’s on April 30, 2024, to integrate its gamification software into the venue operator’s app. The plan was to let loyalty members compete digitally and earn rewards and perks. The deal illustrates Lucra’s business-to-business (B2B) model—providing software through an established consumer platform—but the announcement did not disclose commercial terms, and the available sources do not confirm whether the feature launched or remains available.
What Lucra and Dave & Buster’s announced
The April 30, 2024 announcement described Lucra as the software provider and Dave & Buster’s as the consumer-facing partner. Lucra’s technology was to be integrated into the Dave & Buster’s app, where loyalty members could compete with friends digitally and earn rewards or exclusive perks. The announcement’s stated aim was to add interactive gaming experiences to the operator’s customer experience, rather than relying only on conventional loyalty rewards. The announcement, reproduced by Raptor Group on May 1, 2024, includes an endorsement from Simon Murray, then Dave & Buster’s SVP of Entertainment and Attractions.
Murray said: “We’re thrilled to work with Lucra to bring this exciting new gaming platform to our customers.”
What B2B presence means in this deal
Lucra’s B2B strategy is to supply software that another company can embed in its own platform. In this case, Dave & Buster’s app was the intended route to customers; the announcement did not describe a separate Lucra consumer app as the way users would access the experience. That distribution approach can put a software provider in front of an operator’s existing audience, while leaving the venue operator’s app as the customer-facing destination.

The announcement says Lucra offers a software development kit (SDK) for integration into third-party platforms, customizable interfaces, and analytics. It also makes promotional claims that Lucra can handle 90% of implementation work and 100% of risk management, and can add gamification in one-tenth the time and cost. Those are claims in the company’s announcement, not independently verified performance findings.
Which games were mentioned—and what is not confirmed
The announcement itself described digital competition and rewards but did not name specific games. A contemporaneous SBC Americas report published April 30, 2024 characterized the planned experience as social wagering through the rewards app and named Hot Shots basketball and Skee-Ball as examples. It reported that participation was expected to be for loyalty members over 18 and that the option was anticipated in the coming months. These were details about the plan as reported in 2024, not confirmation of current availability or current eligibility rules.

The available sources do not establish that the integration launched, which locations or regions it covered, what rules apply today, or whether any particular contest involved a specific wager amount. They also do not establish whether the feature remains live. The announcement and contemporary report are not enough to describe the current customer experience.
Is Dave & Buster’s adding real-money Skee-Ball?
The 2024 reporting described skill-based competition tied to arcade games, including Skee-Ball, but neither that report nor the partnership announcement establishes the current format or confirms that customers can now wager real money on Skee-Ball. Do not treat the phrase “social wagering” in the contemporaneous report as proof of a particular payment, prize, or contest arrangement. The sources also do not provide a legal classification of the contests.

How Lucra makes money from the partnership
The public announcement does not disclose Lucra’s compensation, revenue share, licensing fees, or other deal economics. It therefore does not show how much either company would earn, whether payments depend on participation, or whether the partnership generated revenue. The sources reviewed also report no deal-specific adoption, contest-volume, retention, or revenue results.
Lucra’s broader consumer-platform figures should not be mistaken for Dave & Buster’s results. SBC Americas repeated historical figures for Lucra’s direct-to-consumer platform—more than 150,000 customers, over 1 million real-money contests, and more than $20 million in handle—but these were not partnership outcomes and are not current figures. The same report attributed historical scale figures to Dave & Buster’s: more than 222 North American venues, 5 million loyalty members, and 30 million annual unique visitors. How the partnership fits Lucra’s embedded-software approach
A separate July 2024 announcement about Lucra and TouchTunes described contests for electronic darts through the TouchTunes app. That example also reflects embedded software delivered through a partner’s platform, but its terms should not be carried over to Dave & Buster’s: the TouchTunes announcement specified cash or credits, select markets, responsible-gaming controls, and an 18-and-over condition for its own feature. Dave & Buster’s and Lucra’s announcement is best understood as a partnership plan, not proof of a completed launch or business success.
