How Jennifer Garner Built Her Wealth—and What Forbes Actually Estimates

The reported $80 million net-worth figure is unverified. Forbes separately estimates Garner’s career earnings and her Once Upon a Farm equity stake—two measures that do not establish her net worth.

The headline’s $80 million figure is not established by the current reporting reviewed. Forbes estimates that Jennifer Garner has earned at least $125 million from film, television and commercial work over her career, and separately puts her 7% stake in Once Upon a Farm at about $55 million around the company’s 2026 public listing. Those are different measures—not a verified net-worth total.

Is Jennifer Garner’s net worth really $80 million?

The available figures do not confirm an exact $80 million net worth. Forbes’s 2026 estimate of at least $125 million refers to career earnings from film, television and commercials; it is not the amount Garner still owns. The separate estimate of about $55 million refers to the value of her Once Upon a Farm equity around the company’s public listing. Neither figure accounts for all of her assets, liabilities, taxes, spending or investment proceeds, so they cannot be combined into a reliable personal net-worth calculation. Forbes Forbes Australia

Where Garner’s reported wealth comes from

Film and television

Acting is one part of the career earnings Forbes estimates at at least $125 million. That total combines film, television and commercial work; the reporting does not provide a complete breakdown of her acting pay by project, so individual salary figures should not be inferred from it. Forbes

Advertising and spokesperson work

Forbes includes commercial work in the same career-earnings estimate and identifies Capital One and Neutrogena among Garner’s advertising associations. Forbes Australia reports that she has been a Capital One spokeswoman since 2014. The estimate does not disclose how much of the career total came from either brand. Forbes Forbes Australia

Once Upon a Farm ownership

Garner cofounded the organic food company in 2017. Forbes estimates that she owned 7% of the business, a stake valued at about $55 million around its 2026 public listing, when the company was valued at $724 million. That is an estimate of equity value tied to a company valuation—not necessarily money Garner received in cash or could sell for that amount. Forbes also reported that Once Upon a Farm recorded a $52 million loss for the year ending the previous September, underscoring that valuation is not the same as profit. Forbes Forbes Australia

The business grew from Garner’s experience trying to make baby food for her children. In a 2019 Forbes interview, she said: “I tried so hard to make my kids’ baby food—and I have help—and it sucked.” Forbes described the company’s early products as cold-pressed baby food, smoothies and applesauce; its more recent reporting says it sells more than 100 products for babies and children. Forbes Forbes

Forbes Australia quoted Garner discussing her ownership: “That is not even something I reflect on at all or ever really remember from one time it’s mentioned to another.” She was talking about her stake in Once Upon a Farm, not stating a personal net-worth figure. Forbes Australia

Other investment

Forbes Australia also reports that Garner was an early investor in Angel City Football Club and retains a very small minority stake. The reporting does not quantify her proceeds or give a reliable value for the holding, so it cannot support a further addition to a net-worth estimate. Forbes Australia

How to read the reported numbers

Figure What it describes What it does not establish

7% stake, estimated at about $55 million Forbes’s estimate of Garner’s Once Upon a Farm ownership and its value around the 2026 public listing. Forbes Australia Cash received, realized sale proceeds or a guaranteed future sale price.
$724 million The company valuation reported around Once Upon a Farm’s 2026 public listing. Forbes Garner’s personal wealth or the company’s profits.
$52 million loss Once Upon a Farm’s reported loss for the year ending the previous September. Forbes A measure of Garner’s personal finances or the value of her stake.

Career earnings are accumulated income; net worth is a balance-sheet measure of assets minus liabilities. Equity value is an estimate of the worth of an ownership interest, while realized proceeds require a sale or another transaction that converts the interest into cash. The figures above answer different questions and should not be treated as interchangeable.
