The Amazon Influencer Program lets eligible social-media creators recommend products through an Amazon storefront and earn commissions on qualifying purchases. It has two distinct earning routes: commissions when a creator’s audience shops through shared links, and separate onsite commissions when Amazon chooses to show eligible creator content to its shoppers. Applying does not guarantee acceptance, income, or onsite placement.
What is the Amazon Influencer Program?
It is a country-specific creator program within Amazon Associates. Approved creators receive a personalized Amazon storefront with a vanity URL, where they can curate product recommendations and publish formats such as livestreams, shoppable photos, videos, and Idea Lists. They can share the storefront or individual affiliate links with their audience.
Amazon may also surface storefront content to people browsing or searching Amazon. Amazon decides whether and where that content appears; having a storefront or uploading content does not guarantee distribution. Amazon also retains rights over the Influencer Page’s content, appearance, functionality, and URL, so it is not an independent website that the creator fully owns or controls.
Amazon describes the program as a way to select products and services, recommend them to followers, and earn commissions on qualifying purchases. Availability is limited to select countries, so check the applicable local storefront and program terms.

Who can apply, and how does approval work?
Applicants connect an eligible social-media account on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, or TikTok. Instagram and Facebook applicants must use business accounts. Amazon says it reviews follower count and other engagement metrics, and its policy requires applicants to meet qualitative and quantitative thresholds, complete registration, and comply with the Associates agreement and Influencer policy.
Amazon does not publish one universal follower minimum on the official pages covered here, and meeting a particular follower count does not guarantee acceptance. The decision is Amazon’s. You can begin at Amazon’s Influencer Program signup page; availability and registration requirements may differ by country.

How can creators earn money?
There are two routes, and they differ in who brings the shopper to Amazon, how activity is tracked, and which commission rules apply.
| Feature | Audience-driven referrals | Onsite earnings |
|---|---|---|
| Who brings the shopper? | The creator shares a storefront or affiliate link with their audience. | Amazon displays eligible content to an Amazon shopper. |
| Tracking | Regular Associates Store ID for creator-generated links. | A separate Onsite Store ID. |
| What can earn a commission? | A qualifying purchase under the current standard Associates terms and rates. | A Direct Qualifying Purchase under the onsite statement and its category schedule. |
| Who controls placement? | The creator chooses what to share, within program rules. | Amazon decides whether and where to surface the eligible storefront content. |
| What to check | Current standard commission schedule, attribution rules, and policies. | Current onsite category rates, eligible locale, content requirements, and direct-purchase scope. |
Audience-driven referral commissions
When a creator shares their storefront or an affiliate link, a qualifying purchase through that referral may earn a commission under the applicable Associates terms. The amount depends on the products sold and the current category rates; there is no universal rate or guaranteed income. Amazon directs creators to Associates Central for the current schedule and reporting.

Amazon may choose to display eligible creator content on Amazon. If a shopper engages with displayed content and makes a qualifying purchase, the creator may earn onsite commission. Amazon tracks this activity separately from creator-referred traffic.
Amazon’s onsite commission statement limits this route to “Direct Qualifying Purchases.” Its current definition covers the same ASIN variant as the linked product detail page, or, for digital video onsite content, the featured product after a minimum viewing period determined by Amazon. The statement lists category-specific rates. At the time covered by Amazon’s schedule, examples include 4.00% for Luxury Beauty; 3.00% for Furniture, Home, Home Improvement, Lawn & Garden, and Pets; 2.00% for Pantry, Beauty, Musical Instruments, and Business & Industrial Supplies; 1.25% for several categories including Kitchen and Sports; and 0.50% for Physical Books, Toys, and some Amazon devices and video-game categories. These are onsite rates, not general referral rates, and the schedule can change. Check the live Onsite Commission Income Statement for the applicable category and terms.

What content can creators publish, and where might it appear?
Creators can curate product recommendations in their storefront and use formats including livestreams, shoppable photos, videos, and Idea Lists. They decide what to share with their own audience, subject to the program rules. Amazon separately decides whether to surface that content to shoppers on Amazon.
For videos, Amazon says creators with an active storefront can upload through Creator Hub or the storefront owner view. Once at least 10 videos have been approved by moderation and the creator has completed onsite commission signup, shoppers may also find those videos on relevant product detail pages. The 10-video threshold enables the possibility of that placement; it does not mean every video will be shown there.

How are earnings tracked and paid?
Audience-driven link activity uses the creator’s regular Associates Store ID. Onsite earnings and shipped units are reported under a distinct Onsite Store ID. Amazon says creators must enter payment and tax details for that onsite ID to receive onsite earnings; details from another Store ID do not transfer automatically.
Amazon creates an onsite ID for the same locale as the creator’s Influencer storefront. Content must be published in the specific country to be eligible for onsite earnings there. Check the relevant locale’s terms and account setup rather than assuming that eligibility or payment details carry across countries.
Which rules and rates should creators check?
Amazon’s agreement comparison identifies changes effective April 14, 2026. Among the changes, a qualifying purchase must be shipped to, streamed or downloaded by, and paid for by the customer within 180 days; the comparison also describes expanded disqualification for purchases referred through paid or boosted ads, with limited exceptions. It specifies onsite commission scope as direct qualifying purchases of the same ASIN variant and defines original content as content with commentary, analysis, or transformation that adds value.
The comparison is a summary, not the full agreement. For precise conditions and exceptions, review the current Associates Program Operating Agreement and Program Policies. The policy states that the Influencer Program is country-specific and available in select countries. Standard referral rates, onsite rates, eligibility, and other terms can vary or change, so verify the current schedule for the applicable marketplace.

What should you expect before applying?
- Approval depends on Amazon’s review of an eligible social presence and engagement; there is no published universal follower-count formula.
- A storefront and links let you make recommendations to your audience, but commissions depend on qualifying purchases and applicable terms.
- Onsite earnings are a separate possibility, not an automatic benefit: Amazon controls placement and tracks that activity under a separate ID.
- There is no official typical-income figure established here. Do not treat a particular commission rate or another creator’s earnings as a prediction of your results.
