PixelCannon
The announcement describes PixelCannon as an in-house developed computing platform for entertainment that can function as a media server, render node, and real-time visualization tool. Visual Endeavors’ service descriptions also include the platform. An independent Creative Bloq feature published March 30, 2026, describes PixelCannon as a software-agnostic media server used for real-time rendered video and LED installations: Creative Bloq’s PixelCannon feature.
BlackTrax
Visual Endeavors says it is BlackTrax’s official North American Creative Solutions Provider and holds one of the largest U.S. rental inventories of the real-time tracking technology. The stated relationship concerns creative solutions, integration, and rental inventory; the announcement does not describe a referral program.
Why Hovercraft says it made the acquisition
Hovercraft CEO and founder Jeff Kaplan said the agency adds technical capability that can help the platform pursue a greater share of experiential work and develop future experiences across its companies. Altmark said Visual Endeavors would gain shared resources and a collaborative platform to pursue larger work for current and future clients. Those are the parties’ stated aims, not evidence of measured post-acquisition results.
The strategic fit is apparent in the capabilities described: Visual Endeavors brings specialized live-event and immersive production expertise, while Hovercraft describes a broader group intended to share resources and capabilities. Whether that combination leads to new projects, revenue growth, or operating changes has not been quantified in the public materials.
