Celebrity Net Worth’s all-time list puts Adam Sandler first with an estimated net worth of $440 million, followed by Robert Downey Jr. at $300 million. Those are the publisher’s estimates, not verified financial statements.
Who ranks highest on published SNL wealth lists?
Celebrity Net Worth’s approximately 2025 ranking names Adam Sandler as its richest SNL cast member, estimating his net worth at $440 million. It places Robert Downey Jr. next at $300 million. The outlet points to Sandler’s acting and production work and Downey’s film and production career when discussing their fortunes; these are explanations of its estimates, not verified income breakdowns. See Celebrity Net Worth’s all-time ranking.
Parade’s 2026 list offers a different set of reported figures for selected cast members. Its entries include David Spade and Tracy Morgan at $70 million each; Christopher Guest and Chris Rock at $60 million each; and Chevy Chase and Billy Crystal at $50 million each. These amounts are reported net-worth figures attributed to Parade, not independently confirmed totals. See Parade’s 2026 ranking.
Net worth is not the same as career earnings
Net worth is an estimate of assets minus liabilities at a point in time. Career earnings, by contrast, would mean the income a person received over a career, before accounting for taxes, expenses, investments, debts, and other financial changes. Neither ranking provides a consistent, independently verified basis for comparing cast members’ personal finances, so the figures should not be added together or treated as a definitive league table.

What SNL salary reports can—and cannot—tell you
Celebrity Net Worth’s 2026 salary article reports a first-year cast-member rate of $3,000 per episode, attributing it to a December 2024 Pete Davidson TikTok interview. It also reports a top pay tier of $25,000 per episode. These are secondary-source salary figures about show compensation; they do not establish any performer’s total SNL earnings, wider career income, or net worth. See the salary report.

How to read the rankings
- Check what the number measures. The cited lists use estimated or reported net worth, not documented lifetime earnings.
- Keep each publisher’s list separate. Celebrity Net Worth and Parade present different selections and figures; the available information does not establish one authoritative ranking.
- Do not infer wealth from show pay alone. Reported per-episode compensation covers one part of a performer’s work and says nothing definitive about other income or financial obligations.
