Haleon Pakistan announced on 27 January 2026 that its board had approved a £3.58 million investment to expand and modernize the packaging line for Panadol Liquid. The company says the project will add packaging machinery, upgrade infrastructure and enhance quality controls, with the aims of increasing capacity, improving efficiency and meeting demand. It has not disclosed a completion date or how much liquid output will increase.

In a material-information filing to the Pakistan Stock Exchange dated 27 January 2026, Haleon Pakistan Limited said its board approved both the investment and its associated financing. The announced work has three elements:
- Procurement of advanced packaging machinery.
- Upgrades to existing infrastructure.
- Quality-control enhancements.
Haleon said the changes are intended to increase production capacity, improve operational efficiency and help meet demand. The filing does not publish a demand forecast or numerical demand data.
Will the upgrade increase Panadol Liquid production?
Increasing capacity is an explicit aim of the investment, but the filing gives no liquid-line output figure before or after the work. It also does not specify expected efficiency gains, quality targets or when the project will be completed. The announcement therefore signals an intended capacity expansion, not a quantified production increase or a timetable for delivery.

How this differs from other Haleon Pakistan investment figures
A later Pakistan Stock Exchange 3QFY2026 newsletter describes a broader Jamshoro Panadol manufacturing expansion costing PKR 3.3 billion (US$12 million). It says the project boosts tablet production capacity to 8 billion tablets and upgrades the liquid packaging line. The newsletter does not explain how its investment figure or scope relates financially to the January £3.58 million notice. The 8 billion figure refers to tablet capacity, not Panadol Liquid output. The newsletter supplies no liquid-line capacity metric.

Haleon Pakistan’s October 2023 filing described a planned investment of approximately US$10 million at Jamshoro for its Panadol base portfolio, including Panadol 500 mg and Panadol Extra tablets, with the objective of taking tablet capacity to 8 billion. It separately described approximately US$2 million for the CaC 1000 Plus facility. Those historical plans are not stated as the cost of the Panadol Liquid packaging-line project. The January filing does not identify machinery brands or suppliers, give a budget breakdown, set installation milestones or disclose detailed financing terms. It also provides no project completion date, line-level liquid capacity figures or quantified quality-control outcomes. Further project detail would be needed to assess the scale and timing of the operational change.
