Who acquired Allied Seed?
GROWMARK acquired the remaining interest from GreenPoint Ag Holdings in January 2023, according to CropLife’s January 25, 2023 report. The report establishes the transaction’s month and scope; the sources reviewed do not state a purchase price or a separate closing date.
Did GROWMARK already own part of Allied Seed?
Yes. GROWMARK was already Allied Seed’s majority owner before buying the remaining stake. The change was from majority ownership to full ownership; GreenPoint Ag Holdings was the seller of the interest GROWMARK acquired.

Where does Allied Seed operate?
Allied Seed lists facilities in Nampa, Idaho; Albany, Oregon; and Worland, Wyoming. The company says it contracts more than 25,000 acres of seed production and handles seed conditioning, treating, coating, and packaging. GROWMARK’s stated rationale centered on growth, supply, and cover-crop demand. Keith Lawson, GROWMARK’s vice president of seed, said the transaction supported the company’s growth and supply strategies and positioned it to address increasing demand for cover crops as part of a comprehensive on-farm sustainability strategy, as reported by Feed & Grain.

That is GROWMARK’s stated strategic case, not evidence by itself of a measured increase in sales, supply, or sustainability outcomes. GROWMARK’s current Allied Seed overview describes the relationship as pairing Allied Seed’s seed offering with GROWMARK distribution and technical support.
