The stated upper age limit was 42, calculated on the last date for applications. The advertisement specified relaxations and maximum ages for named categories; those exceptions depended on the applicant’s category and circumstances, so the general limit alone does not determine every candidate’s eligibility.

Pay and examination format
The advertised pay scale was Rs. 44,900–142,400, Pay Matrix Level 8.

The advertisement tentatively scheduled the General Studies paper for March 16, 2025, and the concerned-subject paper for April or May 2025. Those dates were tentative, not the final test schedule. A Times of India report dated March 6, 2026, says the preliminary test took place on June 8, 2025.
The same report says 304 candidates were initially shortlisted for application scrutiny after the preliminary test and that GPSC issued a second scrutiny list containing 10 candidates. It describes that second list as a verification list, not a merit list. The report said subsequent steps would follow document verification. It does not establish the final result or a later official schedule; candidates seeking the present status should check GPSC’s current notice board rather than rely on the 2025 timetable or this dated update. Read the Times of India report dated March 6, 2026.

Application fee: use the original notice, not an old headline figure
The application period has ended, so the historical fee information is not payment advice. The advertisement’s detailed Gujarati text describes a refundable examination-fee deposit associated with a later process and gives amounts by category. A contemporaneous Scroll summary reported a Rs. 100 fee, but that summary and the advertisement describe fee details differently. For the applicable terms of this recruitment, consult the complete GPSC advertisement, not the secondary figure in isolation. Read Scroll’s February 6, 2025 summary.
Where to check for a later official update
For any subsequent result, scrutiny notice or schedule, use GPSC’s official website and online portal: gpsc.gujarat.gov.in and gpsc-ojas.gujarat.gov.in. The February 17, 2025 deadline and the original tentative examination dates are historical information; the dated media update above does not confirm the process’s final outcome.
