On 31 December 2025, rates attributed to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association put 24-karat gold at Rs456,962 per tola and 24-karat silver at Rs7,718 per tola. Gold was down Rs2,500 per tola and silver down Rs212. These were reported market reference rates, not guaranteed prices at individual shops.
Pakistan gold and silver rates on 31 December 2025
The APP dispatch republished by UrduPoint reported the association’s rates for Wednesday, 31 December 2025. Business Recorder’s afternoon update corroborated the main per-tola figures.

Why reports dated 31 December may show different prices
A page’s date does not always mean its figures describe that day’s completed session. Business Recorder’s early 31 December item reported the previous Tuesday’s close: gold at Rs459,462 per tola and silver at Rs7,930. Its afternoon update, by contrast, reported the Wednesday 31 December rates shown above. The Express Tribune’s 1 January year-end article also reported Rs456,962 for gold and Rs7,718 for silver on 31 December.

A TechJuice page carrying the exact date lists different figures, including Rs457,758 per tola for 24K gold and Rs7,634.28 for silver. Those figures conflict with the later association-attributed rates corroborated by the afternoon Business Recorder report and The Express Tribune. When consulting archived rate pages, check the update time and which market session the numbers describe.
What these reference rates mean for a shop quote
The published figures are benchmarks attributed to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, as reported by APP and Business Recorder—not a record of what every retailer charged. The available reports do not establish an individual shop’s selling or buyback price, premiums, making charges, local adjustments, or transaction terms. For a purchase or sale, ask the jeweller for a dated, itemized quote and confirm the purity and weight used.

Year-over-year context
The Express Tribune’s 1 January 2026 report compared 31 December rates with the prior year: gold was reported at Rs272,600 per tola on 31 December 2024 and Rs456,962 on 31 December 2025; silver was reported at Rs3,350 and Rs7,718 per tola on those dates. These are nominal rupee rates reported for those dates, not a measure of an individual buyer’s return.
