Why the 1 March date refers to the previous session
1 March 2026 was a Sunday. MM News says APGJSA releases official gold rates around 1 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Mettis Global’s 2 March report identifies Rs 550,562 for gold and Rs 9,862 for silver as the previous-session comparison values, supporting the interpretation that the Sunday-dated rates refer to Saturday, 28 February.

How the next session compared
Mettis Global reported that on Monday, 2 March, 24K gold rose Rs 13,300 to Rs 563,862 per tola, while silver rose Rs 188 to Rs 10,050 per tola. Its comparison table lists the preceding per-tola prices as Rs 550,562 for gold and Rs 9,862 for silver.
Why published prices may differ
Date-matched online reports do not all show the same figures. TechJuice listed gold at Rs 553,239 per tola and silver at Rs 9,827.38 per tola; Pakistan Observer’s silver page listed Rs 12,603 per tola. Those figures conflict with the APGJSA-attributed rates reported by Daily Times and the prior-session values in Mettis Global. This article uses the pair supported by those association-attributed reports rather than combining or averaging conflicting tables.
