As Diamond Sponsor, it combined networking, cloud, computing, storage, cybersecurity, energy and partner-built industry solutions under the theme “Accelerate Industrial Digitalization and Intelligence.” The announcements show what Huawei wanted enterprise buyers to evaluate; they do not, by themselves, prove production-scale results for every product or customer.
What Huawei announced at GITEX GLOBAL 2024
GITEX GLOBAL 2024 took place at Dubai World Trade Centre from October 14 to 18, 2024. Huawei participated as a Diamond Sponsor and said it would occupy more than 1,400 square metres in booths B10 and B20 of Hall 22. Its pre-event plan and event recap are documented in Huawei’s event announcement.

The stated theme was “Accelerate Industrial Digitalization and Intelligence.” During the show, Huawei held an Industrial Digital and Intelligent Transformation Summit, announced joint solutions aimed at 10 industries, and introduced an upgraded Xinghe Intelligent Network Solution for markets outside China. The distinction matters: the pre-event announcement described intended exhibits, while the post-event releases record launches and partner announcements that occurred during the show.

Huawei’s framing was architectural. Digitalization means connecting assets, operations, data and business processes. Intelligence adds analytics, automation and AI-assisted decisions. Networks, cloud, storage, compute, security and energy systems form the foundation; industry applications and implementation partners turn that foundation into operational use.

What “industrial digitalization and intelligence” means in practice
Huawei said it had compiled more than 100 industry case studies from more than 20 industries. That is a Huawei-reported figure, not an independently audited measure of outcomes. The practical sequence for a customer is more concrete:
- Connect: link devices, operational technology, applications and users through campus, data-centre, wide-area and wireless networks.
- Consolidate: provide computing, storage and cloud capacity for operational data.
- Secure: control identities, devices, traffic, logs and access to sensitive systems.
- Analyze: apply analytics or AI to a defined problem such as downtime, routing, energy use or service response.
- Operate: put the result into a governed process with human oversight, measurable targets and rollback procedures.
AI and 5G-Advanced (5G-A) are enabling technologies in this chain, not substitutes for it. Sensors generate data, connectivity transports it, edge or cloud systems process it, and software applies models. Data quality, security, regulation and workflow ownership determine whether the result is useful.
The 10 solution labels announced with partners
Huawei and its partners presented the following solution names. They should be read as integrated packages or architectures—not as 10 universally standardized, off-the-shelf products with identical features in every country.

The event material does not establish how many customers deployed each package, what implementation costs were, or what measurable improvements resulted.
Xinghe Intelligent Network: Huawei’s networking strategy
On October 16, Huawei announced a fully upgraded Xinghe Intelligent Network Solution for markets outside China and more than 20 AI-oriented network products. The portfolio was organized around campus, fabric, WAN, security and industry scenarios, according to Huawei’s release.
Xinghe Intelligent Campus
Huawei described a Wi-Fi 7 portfolio intended to broaden wireless coverage and improve application experience. Phrases such as “zero freezing” are product-performance objectives or marketing claims, not independently verified universal results. Actual benefit depends on compatible client devices, spectrum, cabling, backhaul, site design and application traffic.

Xinghe Intelligent Fabric
The company said the fabric would combine a network digital map, converged management for network and security devices, AI-based application-experience modeling, faster fault identification and link-, device- and network-level failover. Buyers should ask which devices and protocols are supported, how changes are approved, and whether configurations can be exported.
Xinghe Intelligent WAN
Huawei said its WAN offering identifies applications, schedules large numbers of traffic flows, optimizes application experience and uses intelligent operations agents to predict risks and remediate faults. Huawei also claimed automatic rectification of 90% of faults within minutes. The available event material does not provide the dataset, topology, fault definition, baseline, hardware versions or independent test report needed to compare that figure with another vendor.
Xinghe Intelligent Network Security
Huawei said the security portfolio incorporated 18 small AI models and achieved up to 91% accuracy in detecting unknown threats. “Unknown threat” and “accuracy” need precise definitions: a buyer should request the test dataset, false-positive and false-negative rates, attack types, duration and whether results came from a laboratory, simulation or production environment.

Huawei Cloud and hybrid AI infrastructure
Huawei Cloud used the event to promote AI-native and hybrid-cloud infrastructure. It announced Huawei Cloud Stack 8.5 for the Middle East and Central Asia, including a mainframe-to-cloud solution and additional hybrid-cloud use cases for large AI models, as described in Huawei Cloud’s announcement.
This matters because connected industrial equipment still needs a processing and application layer. A private or hybrid deployment may keep sensitive workloads near the customer while linking them to public-cloud services, but residency, access control, backup location, support access and portability must be negotiated for each country and sector.
Huawei reported that MENA public-cloud revenue had grown tenfold in the preceding year. That is a company-reported business metric; the event source does not establish independent audit or the underlying revenue base. Cloud Stack 8.5 availability and feature sets may also vary by country and contract.

Partners, OpenLabs and regional execution
Huawei emphasized a partner-led model, particularly for small and medium-sized businesses. It said it had more than 30 solution partners in the UAE, that those partners had helped develop more than 20 local solutions, and that Huawei operated 14 OpenLabs worldwide. The figures come from the event recap at Intelligent GITEX.
Partners can provide sector knowledge, integration and local support, but they also introduce variation. The contracting customer should identify who owns architecture, software updates, incident escalation, warranties, data handling and post-deployment operations. A capable integrator may accelerate a project; an under-resourced one can become the main delivery risk.
What enterprise buyers should verify
- Interoperability: Test integration with existing Cisco, HPE, Dell, Microsoft, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, VMware, open-source and industrial-control environments where relevant.
- Deployment model: Compare public cloud, private cloud, hybrid, edge and on-premises designs against latency, resilience and regulatory needs.
- Data sovereignty: Map where production data, logs, backups, model artifacts and support access will reside.
- Security assurance: Request certifications, penetration-test scope, vulnerability handling, incident-response commitments and management-plane protections.
- Operational technology: Confirm support for legacy protocols, gateways, protocol translation and safe maintenance windows.
- Automation controls: Require approval gates, audit logs, simulation, rollback and a human override before automatic remediation affects critical systems.
- Commercial terms: Obtain a bill of materials covering hardware, licenses, subscriptions, integration, training, power, cooling and support. Public GITEX material did not state dependable prices.
- Exit strategy: Establish how data, workloads, policies and configurations can be exported if the customer changes vendors.
- Proof of value: Define baseline measures for downtime, energy, response time, availability, safety or operating cost before a pilot begins.
What the event proves—and what it does not
Established by the event record
- Huawei exhibited at GITEX GLOBAL 2024 as a Diamond Sponsor under the stated industrial-digitalization theme.
- It hosted a transformation summit, announced 10 partner solutions and introduced the upgraded Xinghe portfolio and more than 20 AI network products.
- Huawei Cloud announced Cloud Stack 8.5 for the Middle East and Central Asia.
Still requiring validation
- The 90% fault-rectification and up-to-91% unknown-threat-detection figures are Huawei claims without test methodology in the available event material.
- The announcements do not show production-scale deployment, customer counts, independent performance testing or quantified business outcomes for every solution.
- They do not establish identical availability, pricing, support or regulatory eligibility in every international market.
How to compare Huawei with alternatives
A serious evaluation should compare the proposed architecture—not isolated marketing features—with alternatives such as Cisco, HPE Aruba Networking, Dell Technologies, Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, Nokia and Ericsson. Those links identify vendors, not a feature-for-feature ranking. The right choice depends on installed skills, interoperability, sovereignty rules, support coverage, portability and measured outcomes.
Huawei’s integrated stack can simplify procurement and coordination across network, cloud, storage, compute and security. The trade-off is greater dependence on one vendor’s management tools and ecosystem. In regulated or critical environments, buyers should also assess procurement eligibility, geopolitical restrictions, independent assurance and the consequences of concentrating control planes.
Bottom line for decision-makers
GITEX GLOBAL 2024 positioned Huawei’s industrial strategy as an infrastructure-and-ecosystem program: connect assets, build AI-ready networks and hybrid cloud, secure the environment, and apply sector-specific software with partners. That is a coherent buying hypothesis, not proof that every announced capability is production-ready or superior to alternatives. The next step for a serious buyer is a controlled proof of concept with written interoperability, security, support, portability and outcome criteria.
