The amount was due to be paid in 2026. That figure describes compensation—not take-home pay—and does not establish Infantino’s personal net worth. No reliable public net-worth figure is established by the sources cited here.
What is Gianni Infantino’s salary?
The latest figure in the available disclosures is US$4.8 million in gross compensation for 2025, reported as US$2.6 million in base salary plus a US$2.2 million bonus. ge reported that the amount would be paid in 2026 and attributed it to FIFA’s transparency report. FIFA’s 2025 compensation page is the official year-specific disclosure page, but its table was not available in the page view used for this report; the dollar amount and split are therefore presented as ge’s reporting of FIFA’s disclosure.
“Gross compensation” is not the same as money received after taxes and deductions. FIFA’s disclosures distinguish salary and variable pay from tax withholding and employer-paid benefits. They should not be read as a statement of Infantino’s take-home income.
How the reported figures differ by year and source
Figures from different years are not directly comparable unless their currency, reporting basis, and included categories are kept in view. The 2025 amount is reported in US dollars; FIFA’s annual-report figures for 2024 and 2023 are in Swiss francs and euros. A separate US filing figure for 2024 represents a broader cost to FIFA, not salary alone.

| Year and source basis | Reported amounts | What the figure represents |
|---|---|---|
| 2025, FIFA transparency disclosure as reported by ge in 2026 | US$2.6 million base salary; US$2.2 million bonus; US$4.8 million total gross compensation | Reported 2025 compensation, said by ge to be payable in 2026. The figure is reported by ge, which attributes it to FIFA’s disclosure. |
| 2024, FIFA annual-report figures reported by Le Monde in 2026 | CHF 2.6 million gross base salary; CHF 1.65 million bonus; EUR 24,000 flat-rate allowances | Annual-report compensation components. FIFA also contributes to social charges, pension, accident insurance, and other contractual employee benefits. Le Monde’s account reports these figures. |
| 2024, FIFA US filing as reported by Le Monde in 2026 | US$2.954 million base compensation; US$1.874 million bonuses; US$1.148 million other reportable compensation; US$155,000 retirement and other deferred compensation; US$6.133 million total | Total cost to FIFA under the filing’s broader categories. It is not a conflicting net salary or a salary-only figure. Le Monde reports the breakdown. |
| 2023, FIFA Annual Report | CHF 2,463,710 gross base salary; CHF 1,650,000 gross variable salary; CHF 24,000 flat-rate allowances | FIFA says the 2023 base salary was prorated from the date of the amended contract after Infantino’s re-election; the variable salary awarded for 2023 was to be paid in 2024. See FIFA’s 2023 compensation table. |
The US$6.133 million filing total is higher than the annual-report components because the filing uses a different currency and includes additional reportable and deferred-compensation categories. It should not be presented as Infantino’s 2024 salary or compared one-for-one with the annual-report figures.
Why salary disclosures do not establish net worth
Net worth is the value of a person’s assets minus liabilities. A compensation disclosure can show what an official was paid, or what an employer reported as its cost, but it does not provide a personal balance sheet. The sources cited here do not verify Infantino’s personal assets, debts, investments, or other information needed to calculate a reliable net-worth figure. Online estimates that do not document those underlying facts should not be treated as established net worth.

How FIFA describes its compensation disclosures
FIFA says it publishes annual compensation for specified senior officials and that its Compensation Sub-Committee sets their compensation under FIFA’s rules. Its Compensation Transparency page states: “The individual annual compensation of the President, the vice-presidents, the FIFA Council members and the Secretary General, as well as of the chairpersons and deputy chairpersons of the independent committees and standing committees, are published annually.”
FIFA’s 2023 report says listed salary amounts for the president and secretary general are before taxes payable by those individuals. It also says withholding taxes are deducted and paid to tax authorities, while FIFA contributes to Swiss social charges, pension-fund contributions, accident insurance, and other contractual employee benefits. Those distinctions explain why a gross pay figure, an employee’s after-tax income, and an employer’s total cost are different measures.
