One recently advertised discount—a Walmart CyberPowerPC RTX 5070 desktop for $1,549—ran September 21–27 and has ended. Treat it as historical context, not an offer you can still buy.
For a current purchase, compare the exact desktop’s checkout price and full configuration with equivalent systems. A large crossed-out price or a savings figure in a search result does not, by itself, show that a PC is a better value.

What RTX 50 desktop deals are established?
US retailer listings show prebuilt gaming desktops with RTX 50 graphics, including RTX 5070 and RTX 5080 configurations. NVIDIA Marketplace also lists systems with RTX 5080 and RTX 5090 graphics. These pages establish that the category is available; their inventories and prices change, and a listing is not a recommendation or a price guarantee.
A dated Walmart promotion
Walmart’s GeForce Week page advertised a CyberPowerPC desktop with an Intel Core i7-14700KF, RTX 5070 12GB Founders Edition, 32GB DDR5 and a 1TB SSD for $1,549, down from a displayed $2,139.99. That is a retailer-advertised reduction of $590.99 during the event’s stated September 21–27, 2026 window. The event ended before October 4, 2026, and the former price does not establish the system’s usual market value.
#1 Best Overall
- Start Your PC Gaming Story With RTX 5070 Performance: The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 delivers 1440p and 4K gaming with ray tracing and DLSS 4 Multi-Frame Generation — serious hardware for a first PC that refuses to feel like one.
- A Platform Built to Perform and Scale: The Intel Core i5-14400F and 32GB DDR5 RAM keep the RTX 5070 running without limits — smooth, stutter-free gameplay whether you are gaming, streaming or multitasking at full load.
- The Prebuilt That Grows With You: Built on standard, off-the-shelf components, upgrading your storage, RAM or GPU down the line is always a straightforward next step — no tech expertise required.
- Four-Fan Cooling Built for Marathon Sessions: A dedicated RGB CPU Air Cooler and four-fan airflow system maintain consistent temperatures throughout every session, so your performance at hour one is identical to hour five.
- WiFi 6E, MSI Center and Windows 11 Home Included: WiFi 6E delivers lower latency on the less congested 6GHz band, while MSI Center puts full control of RGB, fan curves and performance profiles in one beginner-friendly dashboard.
Other savings claims require context
A Best Buy sale-filtered search page surfaced RTX desktop results with sale labels and savings as high as $950. That search result does not establish that every RTX 50 desktop qualifies or that each reference price is a useful comparison. Check the individual product page and checkout price.
STORMCRAFT PC announced on June 23, 2026, that selected RTX 5080 and RTX 5070 prebuilt PCs were offered through Amazon, Best Buy, Newegg and its own store with “up to $1,100 in savings.” This was the vendor’s dated promotional claim, not independent verification of a saving or evidence that the promotion remained active in October.

How to tell whether a desktop is a good value
Compare complete, closely matched systems—not just the graphics card or the advertised discount. Record the current checkout price, then compare the specifications and terms below across retailer listings.
| What to compare | What to verify |
|---|---|
| Graphics card | Exact desktop GPU model and memory configuration. Do not treat a laptop GPU as equivalent to the desktop version. |
| Processor | Exact CPU model and generation; two desktops with the same GPU can differ substantially elsewhere. |
| Memory and storage | RAM capacity and stated type or speed, SSD capacity, and whether upgrades are accessible. |
| Cooling and case | Air or liquid cooling, airflow and chassis size. An RGB product image is not evidence of cooling quality. |
| Total cost | Current checkout price, shipping, applicable tax and bundle value. Compare against similar full configurations, not only a crossed-out reference price. |
| Seller and terms | Who sells the PC, current stock status, warranty, return terms and shipping conditions—especially on marketplace listings. |
Keep graphics-card prices separate from desktop prices
PC Gamer’s October 1, 2026 price-watch covers graphics cards, including RTX 5070 and RTX 5080 listings. Those are component prices, not prices for complete gaming desktops, so they cannot establish a comparable prebuilt-PC discount. The roundup also characterizes RTX 50 card prices as high relative to launch pricing; that context should not be used as a desktop savings calculation.

NVIDIA promotes RTX 50 platform features including DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation, NVIDIA Reflex and ray tracing.
