Frontier says its new First Class seats will become available starting in 2026, with installation continuing throughout the year. That is a gradual rollout—not a guarantee that a particular flight has the seats. The new product is a pre-reclined 2×2 arrangement in the first two rows, and food and drinks are still available for purchase rather than included.
When will Frontier’s First Class seats be available?
Frontier’s Help Center says the seats will become available “starting in 2026” and will be introduced throughout the year. The airline’s seating FAQ, last modified July 23, 2026, says the new seats will gradually replace UpFront Plus as they become available. Frontier’s seating options and its First Seats FAQ are the current references.
The timing has shifted from earlier announcements. Frontier said in December 2024 that premium First Class seating would be available in late 2025, then said in January 2025 that it would become available later that year. Those were earlier targets; the current company FAQ gives the 2026 rollout timing. The December 2024 announcement and the January 2025 announcement provide that history.
What are the new seats like?
Frontier describes the new product as a 2×2 seating layout in the first two rows of the aircraft. The seats are pre-reclined, not lie-flat. The airline’s First Seats FAQ states: “No, First Class Seats will be pre-reclined.”

Frontier says food and beverages remain available for purchase for all passengers; it does not list complimentary food or drinks as part of this seating option. The front restrooms also remain open to all passengers, rather than reserved for First Class.
How does First Class compare with UpFront Plus?
These are separate seating options. UpFront Plus is currently described as an extra-space option with additional legroom and either a guaranteed empty middle seat or a 2×2 seat, subject to availability. How to check whether your flight has the new seats
The published information does not identify specific routes or flights with the new configuration, and it does not establish a current seat price. Availability is itinerary-specific, so check your own booking rather than assuming the product is installed across Frontier’s fleet.
- Open Frontier’s booking or manage-trip flow for your itinerary.
- Review the seat map for the aircraft configuration shown for your flight.
- Check whether the First Class option appears and confirm the seat arrangement and price before selecting it.
If the option is not shown, the sources available do not establish whether that flight will receive the new seats later. Recheck the itinerary closer to departure if the configuration matters to your decision.
