Bhagwati Products Limited describes itself as an Indian electronics manufacturer founded in 2010 and a collaboration between Micromax Informatics and Huaqin Technology. Its company profile lists mobile phones, televisions, tablets, batteries, chargers and other electronics. The company’s early story is closely tied to Micromax’s effort to shift handset production toward India.

AI hardware was first described as a direction
In a September 2024 interview, The Economic Times reported that Micromax co-founder Rahul Sharma planned to explore AI hardware through custom memory and storage solutions for AI data centers. MiPhi adds an operating enterprise-storage business
The New Indian Express reported on 14 September 2026 that Micromax and Taiwan’s Phison formed MiPhi, a 55:45 joint venture, and that MiPhi manufactures enterprise SSDs in India for servers and other applications. This is the clearest reported operational link to data-center infrastructure in the available account: enterprise storage is a component used in server environments, not a complete AI server sold under the Bhagwati name. The same report attributed two revenue figures to Rahul Sharma: ₹100 crore for MiPhi in the financial year ended March 2026, and ₹250 crore in the first quarter of FY2027. These are reported claims; the article does not establish them as independently audited results.

Servers and other IT hardware remain plans
The New Indian Express reported that Bhagwati planned to enter IT hardware with laptops, desktops, servers, switches and routers. An August 2026 Entrepreneur India interview likewise described a planned IT ecosystem alongside smartphones and adjacent devices, and automotive electronics. The meaningful evidence is the company’s changing role: local production associated with Micromax; a broader manufacturing footprint and a Huaqin collaboration; and a move into enterprise storage, with additional IT hardware described as a plan. Those milestones illustrate an expansion in Indian electronics manufacturing capabilities. They do not prove a single, definitive national stereotype, or establish that one company alone overturned it.

The “PCO pioneers” phrase is also not supported by the documented company history cited here. The available sources connect Bhagwati’s early story to electronics manufacturing and Micromax’s local-production strategy, not to PCO operations.
