Frederique Constant’s Plan-les-Ouates expansion added 3,000 m² and brought its headquarters to 6,200 m², according to a report published in June 2019. The opening was marked by two limited editions of the Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar Manufacture: 88 stainless-steel watches and 30 in 18k rose gold. The figures below describe the 2019 report, not a current audit of the facility, production or watch availability.
What changed at Frederique Constant’s headquarters?
Monochrome Watches reported on 7 June 2019 that Frederique Constant had completed an additional 3,000 m² at its Plan-les-Ouates headquarters, bringing the group headquarters’ area to 6,200 m². The report described both added space and a reorganization of the facility.
- Ground floor: a “Manufacture Experience” for heritage watches and explanations of manufacturing processes.
- First floor: production workshops grouped together.
These are the area and layout details published in 2019; they should not be read as a present-day inspection or confirmation of how the site is organized now. Monochrome Watches’ 7 June 2019 report.
What production goal did the company announce?
The article attributed to then-Managing Director Niels Eggerding a goal of increasing annual production capacity from 160,000 to 250,000 watches within five years. It also reported that Frederique Constant had 29 in-house movements at the time and intended to build further in-house expertise for mechanical and smartwatch models.

The capacity number was a forward-looking target stated in 2019, not a verified later output figure. The available account does not establish whether the goal was reached or provide a current movement count. It summarizes Eggerding’s target rather than reproducing a verbatim quote, so it is best treated as a paraphrase of the report.
Which watches marked the opening?
The two commemorative editions were based on the Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar Manufacture. In the 2019 account, both had a 42 mm case, a one-minute tourbillon and perpetual calendar, a silicium escapement wheel and anchor, and a skeletonized dial. Each also featured navy-blue sub-dials and an outer ring, with a navy-blue alligator strap.

The story documents what the company’s expansion and opening editions were reported to involve in 2019. It does not establish whether either edition can currently be bought from Frederique Constant or a retailer, nor does it substantiate any present-day resale premium or scarcity claim. Frederique Constant’s official website provides current collection, brand, manufacturing and store navigation, but that alone does not confirm availability of these specific editions.
