Correction: FP Markets won “Best Trade Execution” at the Ultimate Fintech Awards 2022, announced on June 24, 2022. It also won the same category at the Ultimate Fintech Awards APAC 2023, alongside “Most Transparent Broker.” The award should not be presented as a 2026 announcement: FP Markets’ latest reported Ultimate Fintech recognition, as of August 8, 2026, was “Most Trusted Broker” at the Global UF Awards 2026.
What FP Markets won
FP Markets received the “Best Trade Execution” award at the Ultimate Fintech Awards 2022. The company announced the result on June 24, 2022, after the awards ceremony held during the final evening of iFX EXPO International 2022.
The ceremony took place on June 9, 2022, at Columbia Beach in Limassol, Cyprus. The event schedule lists the ceremony start time as 17:30.
FP Markets described the category as recognising a company that offers competitive pricing, fast execution, market-leading technology and service excellence. That wording comes from the company’s award announcement. It does not establish a particular execution-speed figure, average slippage result or independently audited trading-cost statistic.

FP Markets won the category again in APAC 2023
On June 23, 2023, FP Markets received two awards at the Ultimate Fintech Awards APAC 2023 in Bangkok:
- Best Trade Execution
- Most Transparent Broker
The event was hosted at the Centara Grand and Bangkok Convention Centre at CentralWorld. Nick Twidale, identified in the announcement as CEO of FP Markets APAC, commented on the two awards.

This is why a headline saying FP Markets won “Best Trade Execution” can refer to either the 2022 global event or the 2023 APAC event. It should include the year or region to avoid suggesting that the award was recent or that it came from the latest global ceremony.

What the award does—and does not—tell traders
Trade execution is the process of sending and filling an order. A broker’s execution quality can affect the price a trader receives, the likelihood of slippage and the time it takes for an order to fill. Those factors matter particularly for traders who enter and exit frequently or use short-term strategies.
However, an industry award is not a substitute for checking the trading conditions that apply to your account. “Best Trade Execution” does not, by itself, tell you:
- the average spread for the instrument and session you trade;
- how much positive or negative slippage occurred;
- the percentage of orders rejected or requoted;
- whether execution differs between account types or platforms;
- the total commission and spread cost on your typical trade; or
- which legal entity will hold your account and what protections apply.
Those details can vary by instrument, market conditions, order size, account type and jurisdiction. A trader should therefore treat the award as one piece of background information, not as proof that every order will receive the best available price.

The global 2023 ceremony was separate from the APAC ceremony. It took place on September 21, 2023, at Columbia Beach in Limassol, Cyprus, and did not represent another “Best Trade Execution” win. The 2024 and 2025 announcements likewise listed different categories. The 2026 ceremony took place on June 17, 2026, at the City of Dreams Mediterranean resort in Limassol, Cyprus.

How to assess execution before opening a trading account
1. Confirm the regulated entity
Start with the broker’s legal-entity and regulatory information, not the award logo. A global brand may operate through several entities. The entity available to you determines the applicable regulator, dispute process, leverage limits and client-money arrangements.

Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →2. Calculate the all-in trading cost
Compare the spread and commission together. For a commission account, a simple comparison is:
All-in round-trip cost = spread cost when opening and closing + opening commission + closing commission
Use the instrument, lot size and account type you would actually trade. A low advertised spread may not be the lowest overall cost once commission, financing and conversion charges are included.
3. Ask what execution data is available
Look for concrete reporting rather than broad claims. Useful questions include:
- Does the broker publish execution-speed or slippage statistics?
- Are the figures independently verified?
- Do they cover your account type and instruments?
- Are results shown for normal and volatile market conditions?
- How are rejected, cancelled or requoted orders treated?
If the broker cannot provide a statistic, do not infer one from an award category.
4. Test with a demo, then use a small live position
A demo account can show platform operation, but it may not reproduce live liquidity, slippage or order handling. If you proceed, start with an amount you can afford to lose and keep records of the requested price, fill price, timestamp, spread and any commission. Compare several trades rather than relying on one unusually fast or slow fill.
5. Check the costs beyond execution
Trading costs can include overnight financing, inactivity fees, currency-conversion charges, data costs and withdrawal fees. Read the current fee schedule and the product disclosure documents for your jurisdiction before depositing money.

Calling this a current award would create a misleading impression. FP Markets’ reported “Best Trade Execution” wins are from 2022 and APAC 2023. Its latest reported UF recognition is “Most Trusted Broker” at the Global UF Awards 2026—not “Best Trade Execution.”
