Do not judge the account by the phrase “from 0.0 pips.” That is a minimum spread, not the spread you will receive all day. Ask for the commission, average spreads, minimum trade size, swap schedule and any conversion charge. A raw account can be cheaper for an active trader but more expensive for a small trade once commission is included.
The broker has supported MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5, and availability of other interfaces such as cTrader or TradingView integration depends on the region and account type. Platform access is not the same as execution quality: check the order-execution policy, server conditions and product disclosure statement.
Fees that can change the real cost
“Low spreads” does not mean forex trading is free. Check these charges in the fee schedule for your entity:
- Spread: the difference between the bid and ask price.
- Commission: usually charged on raw-spread forex accounts, often calculated per standard lot and per side.
- Swap or overnight financing: charged or credited when leveraged positions remain open overnight.

Retail leverage is normally restricted in stricter jurisdictions. Offshore accounts may advertise much higher leverage. Higher leverage does not improve the underlying trade. It reduces the margin needed to open a position and makes forced liquidation more likely.
Read the broker’s current retail-client loss-rate disclosure before trading CFDs. Most retail CFD providers report that a majority of retail accounts lose money.
