Forge announced GameLink and PayLink on June 4, 2025, as tools for game studios exploring direct-to-consumer sales. GameLink was presented as a customizable game page that organizes purchase links, trailers, community destinations, FAQs, and other content. PayLink was presented as a payment-processing route connected to a game’s existing in-app purchase flow. They address different parts of the process: helping players find a game and its destinations, and enabling a payment path.
What Forge announced
Forge CEO Kun Gao described the products as link-in-bio tools designed specifically for game studios and publishers. In the June 4, 2025 launch report, he said the goal was to provide a more game-focused alternative to basic link pages: “When we looked at that experience, we thought it was pretty basic and not really ideal for games. And so we set about to build a purpose-built link-in-bio, just for games.” GamesBeat’s report was updated June 18, 2025.
GameLink: a game’s central destination page
GameLink was described as a customizable hub where a studio could bring together destinations and information related to a game. The launch report listed examples including Steam purchase links, YouTube trailers, social and community links, FAQs, and countdowns. It also described email collection and click analytics. These are capabilities reported at launch, not independently tested or confirmation of what is available today.
The page concept is primarily about organizing discovery and directing players to the next step. It can point to purchase options and community channels, but it is distinct from the payment-processing function attributed to PayLink.

PayLink: payment processing connected to an existing purchase flow
Forge described PayLink as a way to connect payment processing to a game’s existing in-app purchase flow. The intended audience was developers and publishers interested in a direct relationship with players and a payment route outside a conventional app-store transaction. The launch report does not establish which platforms, regions, payment methods, or current implementations PayLink supports.
Gao said PayLink could produce revenue increases of up to 35%, and discussed possible player savings of up to 30% on off-store web-shop purchases and alternative payment-provider fees of 5% or less. These were claims attributed to Forge’s CEO in the June 4, 2025 report, not independently validated outcomes, guaranteed results, or confirmed current rates. The report identified no independent study or audited result supporting those figures.

What the launch-era pricing report said
The June 2025 report described GameLink and PayLink as free, with an optional Pro tier offering custom-domain or subdomain hosting, additional analytics, and advanced customization. Forge’s own launch post also called the tools free and live at that time: Forge’s launch announcement. These are historical launch details; current prices, tiers, and feature packaging are not confirmed by those sources.
How the tools fit a direct-to-consumer strategy
For a studio considering direct sales, the two products were positioned as complementary rather than interchangeable. GameLink could gather a game’s purchase and audience destinations on one page. PayLink was the payment-processing component described as connecting to an existing purchase flow. A page that routes players toward a purchase does not, by itself, establish how the purchase is processed or what fees apply.

- With broad game support, the Logitech Gamepad F310 works with old standbys to today's biggest titles, so it's easy to set up and use with your favorite games.
- Profiler software allows the gamepad to be programmed to perform keyboard and mouse commands for games without gamepad support.* * Requires software installation.
- A familiar control layout that doesn't require a learning curve to be able to use, with all the same buttons as on an Xbox 360.
- The unique floating D-pad rests on four switches-instead of a single pivot point-making it responsive to quick changes in direction.
- The six-foot cord lets you lean back and play a comfortable distance from your PC monitor.
Before relying on a tool for implementation or budgeting, a developer would need current answers about its availability, pricing, platform coverage, supported payment methods, fees, and geographic restrictions. The launch report does not resolve those operational details.
What is known about Forge’s current positioning
Forge’s public website now presents a broader Steam-focused self-publishing platform, including marketing pages, mailing lists, playtesting, engagement, community, and data tools: Forge’s website. That positioning does not confirm whether GameLink and PayLink remain available, or whether their launch-era features and pricing still apply.

Those are company-reported figures from that article, not current performance measures. It said Forge’s platform launched in late 2023 with an $11 million seed round co-led by Makers Fund, Bitkraft Ventures, and Animoca Brands.
