Forbes describes its 2026 U.S. 30 Under 30 class as 600 people across 20 industries. For this edition, candidates had to be 29 or younger on December 31, 2025, and could not have appeared on a U.S., Europe or Asia Under 30 list before. Forbes says editors assess candidates over months of reporting, using category judges and editorial criteria rather than a single formula.

Who is included in Forbes 30 Under 30 in 2026?

The U.S. Class of 2026 comprises 600 innovators across 20 industries, according to Forbes’ class page. Its categories span fields including finance, venture capital, sports, science, AI, social impact, social media, transportation and aerospace, retail and e-commerce, music, entertainment, games, manufacturing, and food and drink.

The class page is an overview of the U.S. edition, not a complete basis for comparing every honoree’s financial position or future prospects. Inclusion is an editorial recognition, not a guarantee of business success, investment performance, or independent verification of every claim associated with a honoree.

What were the age and eligibility rules?

For the U.S. 2026 list, candidates had to be 29 or younger as of December 31, 2025. They also could not previously have been named to a Forbes Under 30 list in the U.S., Europe or Asia. These are edition-specific rules described in Forbes’ December 2, 2025 explanation of its selection process, not a general age rule for every future class or regional edition.

How does Forbes select honorees?

Forbes says reporters spend months researching thousands of candidates before creating shortlists by category. The shortlists are then sent to four independent judges in each category. Forbes also says nominations can come from list alumni, industry professionals and the public; people may nominate themselves or someone else. The process described is not a public vote, and judges are one part of it rather than the sole selectors.

Forbes says editors look for “scale, impact, creativity and potential for success,” while noting there is no one-size-fits-all formula. The published description does not provide a numerical scoring rubric, so those terms should be understood as editorial considerations rather than a transparent points system.

What do the class-wide figures mean?

Forbes reported that the 2026 class had more than $3.8 billion in cumulative investments and 200 million social followers in its 2025 By the Numbers article. These are Forbes’ aggregate figures; they do not mean that every honoree’s company raised capital or that each person has a large following. The available figures are not identified as independently audited.

Forbes also says it receives more than 20,000 nominations on average across its U.S., Asia and Europe lists. That is a multi-edition average, not the number of U.S. candidates or nominations specifically for the 2026 class.

Is the 2026 Arizona list the same as the U.S. class?

No. Forbes separately announced a first-ever local Arizona list and a 2026 Under 30 Summit in Phoenix. Its February 18, 2026 announcement, updated March 23, says Phoenix was selected as host city for the Summit from 2026 through 2028. The Arizona list and event are related to the Under 30 franchise, but they are distinct from the 600-person U.S. class.
