Mari Minerals will remain the operator. Fatima Fertilizer disclosed the agreement because it holds a 32% equity stake in Globacore; that shareholding is separate from the proposed licence interest.
What the Globacore–Mari Minerals agreement covers
Fatima Fertilizer Company Limited told the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on December 22, 2025, that Globacore Minerals Limited had entered into a joint venture agreement with Mari Minerals (Private) Limited. The agreement concerns exploration licences EL-322 and EL-323 in District Chagai, Balochistan. Mari Minerals agreed to transfer 49% of its working interest in those licences to Globacore, conditional on the required approvals. Fatima Fertilizer’s PSX disclosure sets out the terms.
Mari Energies Limited, Mari Minerals’ parent, had disclosed the same agreement to the PSX on December 19, 2025. Its filing also says the transfer is approval-dependent and that Mari Minerals will continue exploration as operator. Mari Energies’ PSX disclosure provides that account.
How the 32% and 49% figures differ

These figures refer to different levels of the arrangement. The 32% is Fatima Fertilizer’s stake in the company Globacore, while 49% is the proposed share of the licence working interest being transferred to Globacore. The filings do not describe Fatima Fertilizer as a direct licence holder. Multiplying the percentages would not establish a direct legal interest in either licence.

Who is involved and what each party does
- Globacore Minerals Limited: The joint-venture counterparty and proposed recipient of the working interest. Fatima Fertilizer disclosed that it holds 32% equity in Globacore.
- Mari Minerals (Private) Limited: The proposed transferor and a wholly owned subsidiary of Mari Energies. It will remain operator and undertake exploration under the disclosed terms.
- Mari Energies Limited: Mari Minerals’ parent company, which separately disclosed the agreement to the PSX.
- Fatima Fertilizer Company Limited: A Globacore shareholder that announced the development to the PSX. It described the agreement as a positive step toward portfolio diversification and long-term value for stakeholders; that is the company’s stated rationale, not a guaranteed outcome.
A same-day Fatima Group announcement describes Globacore as a project of the Pakistan Corporate Consortium, naming Fatima Group, Arif Habib Group, Lake City Holdings, Soorty Enterprises, Hilton Pharma and DIN Group. It presents the partnership’s aims as advancing exploration and development with technical excellence, environmental responsibility and local-community engagement. Those are stated aims, not evidence of achieved outcomes. Fatima Group’s announcement describes the consortium and its objectives.
Has the transfer been approved or completed?
The PSX notices make the transfer conditional on requisite corporate, regulatory and governmental approvals. The disclosures establish that the companies signed an agreement; they do not establish that approvals were granted or that the transfer closed. As of October 8, 2026, the available announcements cited here do not confirm completion. A later PSX filing or company announcement would be needed to verify a change in status.

Does the agreement mean a mine or discovery is confirmed?
No. The filings identify mineral-exploration licences and an exploration arrangement, but do not report a discovery, proven mineral resources, a resource estimate, production, or project economics. The agreement is evidence of planned exploration and a proposed change in working interest—not evidence that commercially recoverable minerals have been found or that a mine will be developed.
