Who invested in Farmdar?
National Incubation Center Karachi reported that Indus Valley Capital led Farmdar’s $1.3 million seed round. Six other investors participated: Deosai Ventures, Tricap Investments, United Distributors Pakistan Limited, The Community Fund VC, LMKR and K2 Global Ventures. The announcement does not provide a visible publication date.
The financing was intended to fund growth in Pakistan, hiring and technology development, and planned expansion into Thailand, Turkey, Bangladesh, Malaysia, the Philippines and the Middle East. Those were plans stated at the time, not confirmation that Farmdar subsequently entered each market.
What does Farmdar do?
Farmdar is an agricultural crop-intelligence platform and service, not a consumer farm gadget. The company says it combines satellite imagery with weather, soil and field data and proprietary AI models to produce information for agribusinesses, sugar mills, fertilizer, seed and crop-protection companies, food businesses and agricultural organizations. Its company FAQ says it does not require customers to install hardware or sensors. Farmdar FAQ

CropScan: large-area crop intelligence
Farmdar describes CropScan as a tool for large-scale crop visibility and planning, including pricing, procurement and supply-chain decisions. This is aimed at organizations that need a regional or portfolio-wide view rather than a single farmer’s device.
YieldPro: field-level monitoring
YieldPro is Farmdar’s field-level crop-monitoring offering. The company says its analysis can include crop and yield estimates, plant health and stress, nitrogen reporting, irrigation needs and field-boundary mapping. Its product positioning page also describes monitoring and operational use cases.

AgriChain: digitized agricultural operations
Farmdar presents AgriChain as a way to digitize agricultural field operations. The company’s product descriptions distinguish this operational layer from CropScan’s broader planning intelligence and YieldPro’s field monitoring. Product descriptions
How does satellite crop monitoring work?
Satellite imagery provides repeated observations of fields over time. Farmdar says its AI models combine those observations with weather, soil and field information to estimate crop conditions and generate reports for agricultural decisions. In practical terms, a company might use broad-area information to plan sourcing or procurement, then use field-level monitoring to identify areas needing closer attention. The precise inputs, update frequency and outputs depend on the service configuration; the public FAQ does not specify one universal monitoring schedule or method for every customer.

Farmdar reports that its models have 90–95% field-validated accuracy across crop identification, yield prediction and monitoring. That is a company claim: the FAQ does not provide the validation methodology, sample size, geography, crop mix or independent audit needed to interpret the range as a general guarantee. The company also reports analyzing more than 500 million acres; that is likewise a self-reported scale figure, not an independent measurement. Farmdar FAQ
Who can use Farmdar, and what does it cost?
The funding announcement said registration and many data points for individual farmers would be free at that time, while corporate farms, mills, processors and food companies could use customized solutions and subscriptions. That describes the offer in the announcement, not a verified current free-access offer. National Incubation Center Karachi’s announcement
Farmdar’s current FAQ says enterprise pricing depends on geography, acreage, selected modules, data frequency and customization; it does not publish a standard price list. The company describes an enterprise engagement as beginning with use-case assessment and requirements gathering. Farmdar FAQ

The funding announcement says Farmdar launched in 2021 and names childhood friends Muhammed Bukhari, Muzaffar Manghi and Ibrahim Bokhari as founders. It recounts that the founders began by exporting produce and became concerned about quality perceptions in the UK and UAE. The company’s current About page instead lists Ibrahim Akbar, Muzaffar Manghi and Muhammed Bukhari as co-founders; the Ibrahim name differs between the two sources, so each attribution should be read as that source presents it. Farmdar says its early crop-health and stress-data work covered 600 acres before it expanded work with agricultural businesses. That is the company’s account of its early development, not an independently verified operating history. Farmdar About page
Is the $1.3 million round Farmdar’s latest funding?
Not necessarily. The $1.3 million figure belongs to the historical seed-round announcement. A CB Insights profile retrieved in September 2026 lists a Seed VC-III round dated November 10, 2025, and $1.3 million as total raised; the available profile excerpt does not show the later round’s amount or terms. The two figures therefore should not be treated as proof that the 2025 round raised $1.3 million or as a fully documented funding sequence. CB Insights Farmdar profile
