The Crypto Times attributed a broader figure to Casa co-founder Jameson Lopp: 61 verified physical attacks on crypto holders in 2025, compared with 38 in 2024. - Do not open the door to investigate a suspicious request or confront someone you believe may be dangerous. Move to a secure place and contact emergency services if you face an immediate threat.
- A front-door camera may document visitor activity, but it is not a substitute for keeping a secure boundary or seeking help when needed.
In accounts of this case, the delivery story was an alleged pretext for gaining access—not proof that ordinary deliveries are inherently unsafe. The useful takeaway is to verify an unexpected request without exposing yourself to a confrontation.
