Was the Expedia 8% code for May 2026 real, and does it still work?
A third-party Groupon coupon listing advertised GREXPMAY for 8% off eligible hotel bookings made from May 11 through May 17, 2026, with travel through September. The booking dates are over as of October 11, 2026. The listing is not an Expedia confirmation, and the available evidence does not establish that GREXPMAY remains active or can be used for a booking now. See the Groupon listing.

Expedia’s reviewed US 8% coupon terms do not name GREXPMAY. They describe restrictions for the offer on that terms page; they should not be treated as confirmation of the historical code’s exact terms. Read Expedia’s US coupon terms.

Start at Expedia’s US coupons and deals page. Expedia directs visitors there to check available travel deals when no coupon codes are listed. An offer’s availability, deadline, eligible stay dates, and booking conditions can change, so use the terms displayed for that particular offer rather than relying on an old coupon listing.
#1 Best Overall
Before booking, check these details in the offer terms:
- Booking market: confirm the offer is for the Expedia site or app and country you are using.
- Booking deadline and travel dates: verify both dates are still open.
- What you are booking: check whether the offer covers a standalone hotel or a package.
- Payment timing: check whether the booking must be prepaid or use “Pay Now.”
- Other restrictions: look for card or membership requirements, property exclusions, tax and fee treatment, and whether the offer can be combined with another promotion.
What Expedia’s reviewed US 8% coupon terms say
Expedia’s official US terms page describes an 8% coupon for select hotel bookings. These details apply to the offer described on that page; they do not establish the terms of GREXPMAY.
- The coupon applies to qualifying prepaid, standalone hotel bookings made online at Expedia.com or through the US Expedia app. A hotel booked with a flight or another product is excluded.
- The discount is calculated before taxes, applicable fees, and additional costs. Taxes, supplier fees, change or cancellation penalties, and miscellaneous charges are not discounted.
- Multi-room bookings are excluded, and specific hotel exclusions apply.
- The coupon cannot be combined with other coupons, promotions, or special offers, and cannot be applied to a booking that has already been made.
Because the terms page does not identify GREXPMAY, do not assume the code had these same restrictions or that it can be applied retroactively.
Where do I enter an Expedia promo code?
Expedia’s general US instructions say to check that the trip is eligible, choose “Pay Now” if a pay-now/pay-later choice is offered, and enter and apply the code on the payment page before completing the booking. In the app, enter the code at checkout before purchasing. A code will not make an ineligible trip qualify.

Why an Expedia coupon may not apply
If a current code is rejected, check the offer terms and booking details for a mismatch. Common conditions in Expedia’s reviewed US 8% terms include prepaid payment, a standalone hotel booking, eligible properties, and a single-room booking. The code also cannot be applied after a booking is complete or combined with another promotion under those terms. For a different offer, its own terms control.
Geography matters, too. Expedia Hong Kong lists separate coupon and card-linked promotions; those offers do not establish eligibility on the US site or whether GREXPMAY is active. See Expedia Hong Kong’s coupons page.
