How does AAdvantage eShopping work?
AAdvantage eShopping is an American Airlines-offered shopping portal connected to the AAdvantage program. Members use it to reach participating stores and earn rewards under the offer shown for each store. The retailer handles the purchase, and its offer governs which transactions qualify. The portal is not a universal reward rate applied to every online purchase.

- Sign in to your AAdvantage account and open the official AAdvantage eShopping portal.
- Find the retailer you plan to use and read its current offer and terms, including any conditions relevant to your order.
- Follow the portal’s link to the retailer and complete the purchase in line with the offer terms.
- Keep the paid invoice or receipt until the miles and any applicable Loyalty Points appear in your account.

How many AAdvantage miles do I earn shopping online?

The amount you earn also depends on whether your particular purchase meets that offer’s terms. The official FAQ does not establish a complete, universal set of tracking steps, coupon rules, or product exclusions for every retailer. For those details, use the terms attached to the selected store offer rather than assuming that all items or promotional codes qualify.
Do AAdvantage eShopping miles count as Loyalty Points?
American Airlines says, “All AAdvantage® base miles earned through AAdvantage eShopping® purchases also earn Loyalty Points.” Its FAQ states that members earn 1 Loyalty Point for every eligible AAdvantage mile. The program terms say Bonus Miles generally do not earn Loyalty Points. A promotional offer may therefore award miles without awarding the same amount of status credit. Who can use AAdvantage eShopping?

How long does it take eShopping miles to post?
American Airlines says other partner activity generally posts within 30 days, though some activity takes longer. What happens to miles if I return or cancel an order?
AAdvantage terms allow invalid accrual to be removed, including accrual associated with a qualifying purchase that is cancelled or returned. What is the 60,000-point partner bonus?
American Airlines’ current program update says that, effective March 1, 2026, the partner bonus at the 60,000 Loyalty Point Reward level increased from 20% to 25%. For eligible spend on listed platforms—including AAdvantage eShopping—the bonus applies for six months after registration and is capped at 25,000 additional Loyalty Points.
