Wamos is expected to support Etihad from March 2027, but the July 2026 announcement names neither an aircraft type nor any route.
Which airline is operating Etihad’s leased A330-200s?
The schedule reports available for 2026 name Hi-Fly as the leased-aircraft provider. AeroRoutes reported that Etihad filed Hi-Fly A330-200 service on Abu Dhabi–Manila and Abu Dhabi–Warsaw from June 15, 2026. These are filed schedule details, not confirmation that every planned flight operated as scheduled. AeroRoutes’ June 5, 2026 schedule report lists Manila flights EY440/441 and Warsaw flights EY159/160.
A separate report published February 3, 2026 said a Hi-Fly A330-200 was scheduled for Abu Dhabi–Lisbon from February 11, with the report focusing on July and August service, and for Abu Dhabi–Manila from March 29. These, too, are schedule reports rather than proof of operation on every date. AeroRoutes’ February 3, 2026 report gives those schedule details.
What Etihad and Abra announced about Wamos Air
On July 21, 2026, Etihad Airways and Abra Group announced a strategic partnership. Abra’s airline group includes Wamos Air. The announcement says Wamos is expected to support Etihad’s expansion by deploying up to three aircraft beginning in March 2027. It does not specify aircraft models, routes, or whether the aircraft will be A330-200s. The announcement carried by Emirates News Agency (WAM) describes the planned support.

The same announcement separately says Etihad and GOL intend to evaluate a potential dry lease of an A330-900, with a target start in November 2026. That is a separate proposal involving GOL; it is not the aircraft type identified for Wamos.
Did Wamos Air previously operate Etihad flights?
Yes. Etihad’s passenger notice dated November 13, 2024 listed selected flights operated by Wamos Air. It showed Abu Dhabi–Manila service beginning December 15, 2024, with listed flights through December 31, 2025. The notice also listed Abu Dhabi–Milan Malpensa from January 15 to 31, 2025, and Abu Dhabi–Rome Fiumicino from February 1, 2025. These are historical assignments and do not establish a Wamos operation on those routes in 2026 or under the planned 2027 deployment. Etihad’s Wamos passenger notice gives the dates and routes.

What Wamos’ A330-200 fleet information tells passengers
Wamos lists A330-200 aircraft in its fleet, so the type is part of its aircraft context. That does not show that an A330-200 will be assigned to Etihad under the 2027 announcement. Wamos’ page for aircraft EC-ODP identifies it as an A330-243 with 288 seats; that capacity applies to this specific aircraft page, not all Wamos A330-200s or any aircraft assigned to Etihad. The partnership announcement is not enough to identify the aircraft or carrier on a particular travel date. Check the flight-specific information in your booking or Etihad’s notices close to departure, and look for the operating-carrier and aircraft details. Those details can distinguish an Etihad-marketed flight from one operated by a partner and may change after schedules are filed.
