The “nearly 28%” figure in the headline-era forecast was a projection for ETH by 2030—not a forecast of a 28% gain in 2026. TechBullion’s May 21, 2025 article put ETH at $2,662.23 at the end of 2026, roughly 5% above the price reference it used at the time. Its Qubetics Stage 35 sale figures are also historical claims, not evidence of a current presale. In an October 6, 2026 update, Qubetics said $TICS had migrated to Ethereum and that development of its previously proposed Layer 1, chain-abstraction protocol, and dVPN was not currently being commissioned.
What did the 2025 ETH forecast actually predict?
Rebecca Idan’s TechBullion article, published May 21, 2025, projected a gradual rise in ETH’s price. It listed these year-end targets:
| Target date | ETH price in the TechBullion forecast |
|---|---|
| End of 2026 | $2,662.23 |
| End of 2027 | $2,795.34 |
| End of 2028 | $2,935.10 |
| End of 2030 | $3,235.95 |
The article described its 2030 target as nearly 28% growth from its then-current baseline. That percentage belongs to the longer 2025-to-2030 projection; it is not the article’s estimated return for 2026. The article’s 2026 figure represented roughly 5% growth from its May 2025 price reference. These were forecasts, not realized prices or guaranteed returns.
A 28.0% ETH move reported by a statistical forecast page on October 7, 2026 referred to a seven-day price change. It is a separate short-term statistic, not the 2025 article’s projected growth through 2030.

How much confidence should you put in that forecast?
The 2025 article reported 1,296 submitted ETH predictions: it said more than 62% were bullish or very bullish, and that 513 respondents, or 39.58%, selected very bullish. Those are sentiment figures reported by the article, not a measure of what ETH subsequently returned or proof that its price targets were likely to be met. The historical poll, targets, price reference, and Qubetics figures below are claims made in that article; they were not independently verified in the reviewed sources.
Forecasts can differ sharply even when they share a target year. CoinGecko’s forecast roundup, updated April 13, 2026, listed then-published end-of-2026 targets of $3,175 from Citi and $7,500 from Standard Chartered. CoinGecko also discussed revisions and uncertainty. These are attributed forecasts as summarized on that date—not a single market consensus, a guarantee, or a current October 2026 outlook. The roundup is secondary coverage of forecasts issued by other organizations.

- Compare the publisher and the date the forecast was issued or updated.
- Check the target date and whether a number is a base, bull, or bear case.
- Look for stated assumptions; do not average unlike scenarios into a precise-looking consensus.
- Separate a forecast from a realized return. A target is not a promise that the price will reach it.
What did the article claim about Qubetics Stage 35?
The May 2025 TechBullion article said Qubetics Stage 35 was live and quoted a $0.2785 TICS price. It also asserted that more than 513 million TICS tokens had been sold, that the project had raised more than $17.1 million, and that it had more than 26,700 holders. These are historical figures attributed to the article, not independently verified counts or current sale information.
“Stage 35” is the stage label reported in the article. It should not be read as confirmation that a sale is still active, or that 35 distinct presale rounds are currently available. The article described a weekly sale schedule and anticipated a Q2 2025 mainnet launch; both are historical statements. Its projected return scenarios were promotional hypotheticals, not evidence of likely performance.

In an official update dated October 6, 2026, Qubetics said $TICS had migrated from its original Cosmos-based environment to Ethereum as an ERC-20 token. The project also stated: “As a result, Qubetics is not currently commissioning continued development of the previously proposed Layer 1, chain abstraction protocol or dVPN.” It said its engagement with Antier was being concluded, development materials and relevant repositories were being organized, and the token structure was under review.
Qubetics’ website lists a TICS ERC-20 contract address of 0x551ecFDBa071cB6541f642cB90a073c8c158Df05 and a total supply of 1.36 billion. Those are current website statements, not confirmation that the token-structure review is complete. The reviewed official information does not establish final migration or claim instructions, or the final token structure. Anyone checking a token or considering a transfer should verify instructions through Qubetics’ official channels rather than relying on the 2025 sale article.

How should readers interpret the headline today?
Read its two numerical claims as dated snapshots: an ETH price path published in May 2025 and Qubetics sale figures reported at Stage 35 at that time. The “28%” referred to the forecast’s longer horizon, while the 2026 target was $2,662.23. Qubetics’ later update changes the context for the presale pitch: it reports an Ethereum token migration and a pause in commissioning development of the previously proposed products, while leaving token-structure and final migration details unresolved.
