Has the ENS DAO approved ENSv2?

ENS documentation search results also include EP 5.27, a separate proposal concerning the DAO’s ability to upgrade the Name Wrapper after a vulnerability was identified. Does an existing .eth name need to migrate?
The Crypto Pulse summary says current .eth holders would have no migration deadline. Because that claim has not been checked against official proposal language or an ENS statement, name holders should not rely on it as a confirmed rule. ENS support identifies app.ens.domains as the official app for registering or managing an ENS name. That service guidance is useful for ordinary name management, but it does not confirm that ENSv2 activation is approved or that the reported proposal is live.
Will new ENS names still be available?
The reported proposal summary claims that new ENSv1 registrations would stop. It does not, by itself, establish whether registrations would move to ENSv2, when any change would occur, or whether the proposal is active.
