Figures often cited online measure different things: Matchroom’s business value, company revenue and profit, or pay to a group of directors. None establishes how much Hearn personally owned or earned.
Is Eddie Hearn’s net worth in 2024 known?
No reliable published figure in the sources cited here establishes Hearn’s personal net worth in 2024. In a 2023 interview with The Guardian, journalist Simon Hattenstone asked him, “How much are you worth?” Hearn replied, “No idea!” That answer does not provide a net-worth figure, and the separate business valuation reported in the same article should not be mistaken for one.
The distinction matters: a person’s net worth is the value of their assets minus liabilities. It is not the same as the value of a company they lead, the company’s annual sales or profits, or the total compensation paid to its directors.
What do the published figures actually measure?
| Published figure | What it refers to | What it does not establish |
|---|---|---|
| £800 million to £1 billion | An unnamed source close to Hearn told The Guardian in 2023 that this was the value of the Matchroom business. | Hearn’s personal net worth or the amount he could personally take from a sale. |
| $365 million estimated revenue and $60 million estimated net profit | Forbes’s estimates for Matchroom Sport in fiscal 2023, which ended June 30, 2023. | Hearn’s personal income, salary or net worth. |
| $235 million estimated annual sales from boxing and nearly $20 million in cash flow | Forbes’s estimates for Matchroom’s boxing business and its cash flow, reported in 2023. | Amounts paid to Hearn personally. |
| £42.98 million pre-tax profit | Matchroom Sports Group’s reported profit for the 12 months to the end of June 2023, according to RTÉ in March 2024. | Hearn’s personal earnings or share of that profit. |
| £4.86 million in total director pay; the best-paid directors received £1.3 million | Pay to Matchroom group directors for the 12 months to the end of June 2023, as reported by RTÉ. | Hearn’s individual salary. RTÉ did not say how much he personally received. |
| $400 million estimated personal net worth | A Celebrity Net Worth estimate on a page updated May 15, 2026. | A verified 2024 figure. The later estimate should not be backdated. |
Forbes labels its fiscal 2023 figures as estimates in its 2023 profile of Hearn and Matchroom. Revenue is money a business brings in; profit is what remains after costs under the applicable accounting measure. Neither is automatically distributed to an owner. Similarly, a director-pay total covers a group, not a named individual’s compensation.

What can be said about Hearn’s boxing earnings and salary?
The available figures do not disclose Hearn’s personal boxing earnings or an individual annual salary. Forbes estimated substantial sales and cash flow for Matchroom’s boxing division, but those are business figures. RTÉ reported total remuneration for Matchroom group directors, without identifying Hearn’s personal portion.
So it would be misleading to present Matchroom’s revenue, profits, boxing sales, cash flow or director-pay pool as Hearn’s salary. The sources also do not establish how much of the company’s value belongs to him or what he would personally receive from a sale.

Why Matchroom’s value is not Hearn’s net worth
A company valuation is an estimate of a business’s worth, not a statement of one person’s wealth. Even if a business is associated with a prominent executive, a valuation alone does not reveal the ownership structure, personal liabilities, other assets or the value of any individual’s stake. The Guardian’s £800 million to £1 billion figure was attributed to an unnamed source close to Hearn and described the Matchroom business—not Hearn’s personal fortune.

Matchroom’s official biography says Hearn joined the company in 2000 to work in its golf business. He took on leadership of the PGA EuroPro Tour in 2005, later headed Matchroom’s boxing division and became chairman in April 2021. The biography also records a 2018 DAZN agreement for 16 fights a year across America under Matchroom Boxing USA. This chronology explains his business and boxing profile, but it does not disclose his personal compensation or wealth.

How to read estimates without confusing them
- Check whose wealth is being measured: a personal net-worth estimate is different from a company valuation.
- Check whether the figure is income or a balance-sheet estimate: salary and annual earnings are not net worth.
- Check the period: Matchroom’s figures above concern fiscal 2023, not Hearn’s personal 2024 income.
- Check attribution and method: the Matchroom valuation came from an unnamed source, while Celebrity Net Worth labels its later figure an estimate.
- Keep currencies and dates attached: a pound-denominated company valuation and a dollar-denominated personal estimate from different years are not directly comparable.
