Dune: Part Two crossed $700 million at the worldwide box office. Box Office Mojo reports a final worldwide theatrical gross of $714,844,358; The Numbers reports $715,206,195. Both trackers put the film above the milestone, but their totals differ, so the figures should be attributed rather than combined.
How much did Dune: Part Two make worldwide?
Box Office Mojo reports Dune: Part Two earned $714,844,358 worldwide, comprising $282,144,358 domestically and $432,700,000 internationally. The Numbers reports a slightly higher worldwide total of $715,206,195, with $282,709,065 domestic and $432,497,130 international. These are separate tracker totals, not amounts to add together. Both were checked on October 7, 2026.
The difference between the reported worldwide totals is $361,837. The pages examined do not explain the precise reason for the discrepancy. For a clean comparison, use one tracker consistently and keep its domestic and international breakdown attached to its worldwide figure.
How much came from domestic and international theaters?
The two trackers agree on the broad pattern: about 39.5% of the reported gross came from the domestic market and about 60.5% from international markets. Box Office Mojo’s breakdown puts domestic receipts at $282.1 million and international receipts at $432.7 million; The Numbers’ breakdown puts them at $282.7 million and $432.5 million, respectively. Those figures reflect each source’s reported theatrical totals, not a separate measure of profit.

How did the opening weekend compare with the final gross?
The Numbers lists an $82,505,391 domestic opening weekend for the film’s 2024 release. Its record lists international openings beginning February 28, 2024, and a U.S. wide release on March 1, 2024. The domestic opening was a substantial start, but it is not a measure of worldwide opening-weekend revenue.
The opening’s premium-format performance was notable. The Associated Press reported that IMAX contributed $18.5 million to an estimated $81.5 million North American opening weekend, while IMAX and 70mm premium large-format screens together represented 48% of opening-weekend business. These are opening-weekend figures, not a breakdown of the movie’s full theatrical run.

Producer Mary Parent, also chairman of worldwide production at Legendary, told the Associated Press: “It was made for the big screen and it feels like it’s being received as a cinematic event.” AP reported that the release had shifted from an intended October 2023 slot to March 2024 amid Hollywood strikes that would have kept cast members from promoting the film.
Does the box-office gross mean the film made a profit?
No. The Numbers lists a $190 million production budget. Dividing its reported worldwide gross of $715,206,195 by that budget gives roughly 3.8 times the production budget, but that comparison is not a profit calculation. It does not account for distribution, marketing, exhibitor shares, or other costs, and a worldwide gross is not the amount returned to the studio.

What do other market figures tell us?
Germany’s 2024 chart
The Film Distributors’ Association Yearbook 2025 ranks Dune: Part Two third in its Germany 2024 top-films chart, with a listed figure of $42,097,436. This is a territory-specific annual-chart figure reported in the 2025 yearbook for 2024; it should not be treated as the film’s worldwide gross or as a lifetime German total.
Estimated U.S. physical-media sales
The Numbers estimates U.S. domestic physical sales of $2,935,596 for DVD and $11,496,897 for Blu-ray. These are estimates for domestic physical media, not global home-entertainment revenue or theatrical receipts. The Numbers lists an April 16, 2024 Warner Home Video release; its record does not establish current stock, edition availability, or price.
