DSW VIP points and sweepstakes entries are not the same thing: points accrue under loyalty-program terms and can support a stated rewards balance, while an entry is a chance to win a prize under a promotion’s rules. In DSW’s U.S. terms, 200 points make a member eligible to redeem $1 from the rewards balance; an entry does not guarantee a prize.
How do DSW points and sweepstakes entries differ?
| Feature | DSW VIP points | Sweepstakes entry |
|---|---|---|
| How you get it | Earned on eligible DSW product purchases when your VIP member number is provided; gift-card purchases are excluded under DSW’s current U.S. terms. | Submitted according to the specific promotion’s entry instructions. Shoebox Shuffle requires a VIP member to log in and complete the promotion registration form. |
| What it means | A loyalty-program balance that can support redemption under the program terms. Each 200 points makes a member eligible to redeem $1 from the rewards balance toward eligible purchases. | A chance in a promotion’s drawing or other prize mechanism. It is not a guaranteed reward. |
| How value is received | Eligible rewards are applied toward purchases, subject to DSW’s terms; points and rewards are not cash. | A prize is received only if selected or awarded under the rules and successfully verified. |
| Expiration or transfer | Unused points are forfeited 12 months after the date credited. Points and rewards generally are nontransferable and have no cash value. | Rules and deadlines are promotion-specific. Shoebox Shuffle prizes are nontransferable. |
DSW says purchase points are typically credited after 24 hours, and account adjustment requests are not made more than 90 days after purchase. Returns can reverse points; other exclusions, redemption limits and caps also apply. Check the current DSW VIP Rewards Program Terms and Conditions for the full requirements.

What does the 2026 DSW Shoebox Shuffle include?
The U.S. Shoebox Shuffle promotion is scheduled to run from September 28, 2026, at 12:00 a.m. ET through October 25, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. ET. Its rules describe three separate mechanics; only two offer a possible award.
The Tool Desk
Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Outbyte PC Repair FREEClear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Sweepstakes drawing
Eligible participants submit an entry for a random drawing. The rules list five grand prizes, each a $500 DSW gift card, with odds depending on the number of eligible entries. A drawing entry is a chance, not a promise of a gift card.
#1 Best Overall
- Caution: This gift card may cause extreme joy.
- Designer shoes, warehouse prices.
- DSW Gift Cards can be used to purchase merchandise online or from any DSW store in the USA.
- No returns and no refunds on gift cards.
Instant Win Reveal
This is separate from the drawing. The rules list 150,450 seeded winning times and awards of 1,000, 400 or 200 VIP points. DSW states their respective values as $5, $2 and $1; these remain program points subject to VIP terms, not cash. Whether a play wins depends on when it occurs, remaining prizes and eligible plays.
Optional Shoebox Shuffle Game
The interactive game is for entertainment only and offers no prize. Playing it should not be confused with winning an instant-win award or entering the drawing.

Who can enter, and how often?
The 2026 rules limit eligibility to DSW VIP members who are U.S. residents of the 50 states or District of Columbia and at least 18 years old at entry; employee and related-household exclusions apply. During the promotion, the limit is one sweepstakes entry and one instant-win play per day.
No purchase is necessary. The official rules state: “NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.” Do not assume buying shoes earns a sweepstakes entry; follow the entry method in the particular promotion’s rules.

- Physical gift cards are delivered active via mail.
How are prizes awarded and confirmed?
Shoebox Shuffle drawing winners are selected at random on or around October 26, 2026, and the odds depend on total eligible entries. Instant-win odds depend on the timing of a play and the remaining prizes. In either case, a notification or game screen alone does not establish that someone is a winner: potential winners must satisfy the rules’ validation requirements.
The rules estimate prize fulfillment at approximately 8–10 weeks after winner confirmation. Winners are responsible for applicable taxes and fees. Check the official Shoebox Shuffle rules for complete eligibility, entry, verification and prize terms. DSW may change or discontinue VIP benefits under its program terms, so check the live terms before relying on a balance or redemption condition.
