Application dates, fee and present status
The notice listed an opening date of 8 February 2024 and a closing date of 8 March 2024 at 11:59 p.m. DSSSB said only online applications would be accepted. The deadline has passed, so candidates cannot apply under this advertisement.

The application fee was ₹100, payable through SBI e-pay. The notice listed women, SC, ST, PwBD and eligible ex-servicemen as exempt from the fee, and stated that a fee already paid would not be refunded.
Eligibility, age limit and pay
Educational qualification
Matriculation or an equivalent qualification was the essential qualification stated for the posts. The reviewed department entries did not state a desirable qualification or experience requirement.
Age limits
The age limit depended on the department and its recruitment rules. Many entries listed 18–27 years, while the DSSSB department entry listed 18–25 years. The advertisement also set out category-based age relaxations. Use the age limit and relaxation rules for the specific department and category; a single age range does not apply to every vacancy.
Pay scale
The notice listed Pay Level 1, with a pay range of ₹18,000–₹56,900. The applicable service conditions are governed by the relevant post and department rules.

DSSSB MTS 2024 exam pattern
The advertisement specified one Tier-I General examination: a two-hour objective test with 200 multiple-choice questions for 200 marks. The five sections carried equal weight. Questions were bilingual except for the Hindi and English language papers. Each wrong answer attracted a deduction of 0.25 marks.
