On June 18, 2024, payments company dLocal announced a partnership with gaming marketplace Eneba to add localized payment options for customers in eight Latin American countries. The announced methods included bank transfers, cards, cash payments and Brazil’s PIX system. This describes the partnership’s stated scope at announcement—not a guarantee that every method is available at Eneba checkout in each country today.
What the partnership was intended to do
Eneba sells digital entertainment, including game keys for PC, Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch, as well as gift cards and mobile top-ups. dLocal says its cross-border payments platform connects global merchants with consumers in high-growth markets. The companies described the partnership as a way to make it easier for Eneba customers to pay using methods familiar in their own markets.
Eneba’s Head of Payments & Risk, Mantas Eitutis, said local payment access was among customers’ frequent requests and reasons for choosing the marketplace. In practical terms, the announcement focused on providing alternatives to relying only on international card payments; it did not promise that any particular option would be available for every purchase or customer.

The announcement described the options as bank transfers, card payments, cash payments and PIX. It did not map each method to each country, so the list should not be read as a country-by-country checkout menu. PIX is Brazil’s instant payment system; the announcement’s broader payment categories do not specify the particular bank-transfer or cash networks involved.
How the implementation was described later
In a later case story, dLocal said Eneba used dLocal Payins through one integration spanning Africa, Asia and Latin America. It described Eneba as present in 13 emerging markets and said installment options were offered in Latin America. That account broadens the geographic picture beyond the eight Latin American countries named in the original announcement, but it does not identify the additional markets or provide a dated, market-level list.
Rank #2
- ARGENTINA - There are two different types of outlets in the country. So this is an excellent choice since you could need both of these types of plug adapters.
- RELIABLE & DUAL PLUG - Type E in this pack has dual inputs. This CE Certified and RoHS Compliant
- SOUTH AMERICA - If you traveling to nearby countries in South America know that the Type I plug will work in Uruguay and Argentina while the Type E is used in Peru, Bolivia, Paraguay, Chile, Brazil, Uruguay, Suriname and Argentina.
- UNIVERSAL ADAPTER - This universal input will fit plugs in every country except Lesotho and Swaziland. Adapter plugs do not convert voltage, but necessary to adapt to correct outlet. You may need additional voltage converter with the adapter to power your device (hair dryer, laptop computer, coffee machine, electronics, etc...) if it does not have dual voltage options.
- GUARANTEED - Plug In Solutions guarantee is 100% Satisfaction or complete refund.
The case story is dLocal’s own retrospective account. It describes engagement and retention qualitatively, without publishing figures that show how the partnership changed payment success, conversion, customer access or repeat purchases.
What the audience figures do—and do not—show
To explain the opportunity, dLocal’s 2024 announcement cited a Latin American gaming audience of more than 316 million, including 136.6 million in Brazil, and said 82% spent money on video games. dLocal attributed the regional audience and spending claims to Konvoy and the Brazil figure to Statista. The announcement did not provide the underlying publications’ reference years, definitions or methods, so these should be treated as figures dLocal cited in 2024, not as independently verified current statistics.

The announcement also said Eneba had more than 10 million registered users and 80,000 products for gamers. Its later case story gave different figures—more than 15 million users and over 80,000 gaming products—along with claims of support for 160+ payment methods, 20+ languages and 45+ currencies. The case story’s publication year is not shown in the retrieved page, and the figures are company-reported snapshots from different accounts, not directly comparable audited measures.

The partnership announcement is historical, and the available company accounts do not establish which payment methods remain active at checkout in each country. A customer should check the payment choices displayed for their location during checkout and review the relevant method’s terms before confirming a purchase. Do not assume that a method listed in the 2024 announcement is currently offered for every Eneba product or transaction.
