Disney’s U.S. Black Friday 2025 promotion offered Disney+ and Hulu with ads for $4.99 a month for 12 months. The reported deadline was December 1, 2025, so this is not a currently available $4.99 signup offer as of August 18, 2026. ABC News reported the 12-month terms, and Android Central reported the deadline.

The bundle was for the services’ on-demand libraries. It did not include ESPN, Hulu + Live TV, ad-free viewing, or premium add-ons such as HBO Max or STARZ. Disney’s offer page also advertised a separate $4.99-per-month promotion lasting three months and ending March 24, 2026. That was a different, shorter offer—not evidence that the 12-month Black Friday deal remains active.

How much the promotion saved
Compared with the $12.99 monthly price cited for the bundle in coverage of the 2025 offer, the promotional price reduced the subscription charge by $8 per month. Over 12 months, that is $59.88 at the promotional rate versus $155.88 at $12.99 per month—a $96 difference before taxes. This calculation uses the historical comparison price attached to that promotion; it does not establish today’s regular price.
Who could qualify
Contemporaneous coverage described the promotion as available to new and eligible returning subscribers. “Eligible returning” does not mean every former customer: active subscriptions or recent subscription history could affect eligibility under the offer’s terms.

- If Disney+ or Hulu was billed through Apple, Google, Roku, a wireless carrier, or another third party, the account might not have been eligible for a direct bundle conversion. Check the billing provider’s cancellation and bundle rules.
- Customers with an existing subscription should check whether it must be canceled or converted before enrolling. Disney’s guidance for existing subscribers describes bundle changes and billing adjustments; a switch may involve prorated charges or credits rather than a simple replacement charge.
- The offer was for U.S. residents and should not be assumed to apply in other countries.
What happened when the promotional year ended
The subscription was scheduled to renew automatically at $12.99 per month or the then-current regular monthly price. Because the offer used “then-current” pricing, the renewal could have been higher if the regular rate changed during the promotional year.
For a promotion like this, check the account’s billing or subscription page for the exact end date, set a reminder before the first full-price renewal, and cancel in time if you do not want to continue. Disney says cancellation generally takes effect at the end of the current billing period, rather than ending access immediately. See Disney’s bundle and cancellation guidance.

Was it a good deal?
At $4.99 a month, the promotion was strongest for someone who would watch both services, was comfortable with ads, qualified for the offer, and could reassess before renewal. It was less compelling for someone who wanted only one service, already received Disney+ or Hulu through another benefit, rarely watched either library, or needed ad-free viewing.
The key trade-off was a low first-year price in exchange for ads and an automatic renewal at a potentially higher rate. The bundle should not be compared with premium, ESPN-inclusive, or live-TV packages as though they were the same product: those add different features and may carry different prices and terms.

How to evaluate a replacement offer
The Black Friday 2025 promotion has ended. For any later Disney+ or Hulu promotion, start at the official Disney+ site or Hulu site, and rely on the checkout terms—not an old headline or search result—to confirm the offer. Disney’s pricing help page showed a $7.99 monthly bundle signal in a page crawled April 30, 2026; that dated figure does not confirm the live price on August 18, 2026.
- How many months the promotional price lasts and its expiration date.
- Whether both services include ads, and whether the bundle is on-demand only.
- Eligibility rules for new, returning, and current subscribers, including third-party billing.
- The renewal price and whether it may change before renewal.
- Whether taxes are added and whether existing subscriptions need to be canceled or converted.
Do not assume a bundle with ESPN or HBO Max is a like-for-like replacement for the entertainment-only $4.99 offer. Disney lists a separate Disney+, Hulu, and HBO Max bundle; compare its live price and terms only if you want the additional service.
