Yes—when Amazon announced the result on April 1, 2024, it said Road House had drawn more than 50 million worldwide viewers in its first two weekends on Prime Video, making it the biggest debut for an Amazon MGM Studios-produced film at that time. It no longer appears to hold that launch record: a later report said Red One reached 50 million Prime Video views in four days in December 2024. The figures use different wording and time windows, and neither source establishes a standardized, independently audited audience measure.
What record did Road House set?

Does Road House still hold the record?
No, not according to a later reported comparison. A December 16, 2024 account attributed to Deadline says Red One drew 50 million Prime Video views during its first four days, December 12–15, 2024, surpassing Road House’s reported two-weekend figure. Because one figure is described as “viewers” and the other as “views,” they should not be treated as directly comparable counts of unique people. The later report on Red One
How should the audience numbers be read?
Amazon later reported nearly 80 million Road House viewers since the film’s March 21, 2024 premiere, in an announcement dated May 14, 2024. That is a cumulative figure reported after the initial launch period, not a replacement description of the first-two-weekends record. Amazon’s May 2024 update

The cited announcements do not define whether “viewer” means a unique person, a minimum amount of viewing, or a completed film. No standardized or independent audit methodology for these specific figures is established by the sources. The most precise conclusion is therefore about what the companies reported and when—not a verified ranking based on a common measurement system.
