Without those terms, it is not possible to calculate a reliable payout from the contract length. A reported figure would also need to clarify whether it covers Martin alone or the other departing staff, and whether it is an estimate, contractual liability, negotiated settlement, or confirmed payment.

Chief Financial Officer James Taylor said in that summary: “Our goals are clear: to win now, win in the future, and do so in a sustainable manner.” The figures describe the club’s financial position for the stated reporting period; they do not establish a later payment or liability arising from Martin’s exit.
