UOL Splash published a Portuguese-language summary the same day, explicitly attributing its account to TMZ and saying the proposal did not proceed. TMZ’s September 1, 2023 report and UOL Splash’s summary both describe an approach that did not lead to an account.
Was it a formal OnlyFans offer?
The reporting describes outreach and initial conversations with Spears’s team, not a confirmed formal offer, contract, or account launch. It is more accurate to say OnlyFans reportedly approached her team than to say Spears personally negotiated a deal or received a confirmed contract.

Why did Spears reportedly pass?
TMZ’s unnamed sources attributed her reported reluctance to the platform’s association with explicit content. That is an explanation relayed by unnamed sources, not a direct quote or publicly confirmed reason from Spears.
