Is Delhi giving women ₹1,000 every month?

The Chief Minister’s stated potential reach of more than 17 lakh women was a projection, not a confirmed count of enrolled recipients or a measured result.

The July 2026 announcement said registration would open August 1, but that dated announcement alone does not establish whether applications remain open or whether the process has since changed. The available information does not establish a definitive document list; do not assume that the historical voter-ID criterion is the current document requirement.

A News On AIR report dated August 26, 2026 said approval letters had been given to 4,000 beneficiaries. It described a planned monthly split of ₹1,000 through a digital wallet and ₹1,500 placed in a fixed deposit, with interest borne by the government, and said direct credits were expected to begin the following month. Those are dated implementation details; the report does not confirm present payment status or establish that the same deposit terms remain in effect.
