What the prelim result means
Under the High Court’s Delhi Judicial Service Examination Scheme 2022, prelims were an objective screening test, not part of final merit. The paper carried a maximum of 200 marks and had 25% negative marking.
The scheme stated minimum qualifying marks of 60% for general-category candidates and 55% for specified reserved categories. These minimums are not the same as the actual shortlist cutoff: the number admitted to mains was limited category-wise, with candidates tied at the final shortlisted mark included. The separate mains-shortlist notice determines progression.
