The old “apply now” notice is not a live opportunity. The High Court lists a separate 2026 recruitment notice; check that cycle’s own advertisement and updates for current application status and dates.
What happened in the 2023 recruitment cycle?
The Delhi High Court advertised 16 vacancies—15 existing and one anticipated—in its 2023 examination advertisement. It set 29 July 2023 as the last date to apply and scheduled the preliminary examination for Sunday, 20 August 2023, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The High Court’s recruitment-results archive lists the examination’s final result and select list dated 15 February 2024. This confirms that the 2023 process progressed beyond the application stage; it is not an open registration window.
What eligibility and selection rules did the 2023 notice set?
These are historical rules from the 2023 advertisement, not eligibility guidance for a later recruitment cycle.

- Citizenship: Applicants had to be Indian citizens.
- Advocacy experience: Applicants needed at least seven years of continuous practice as an Advocate by the final application date, 29 July 2023.
- Age: The age range was 35 to under 45 years as of 1 January 2023.

The 2023 advertisement stated a pay scale of Rs. 131,100–216,600 in Level 13A of the 7th CPC Revised Corresponding Pay Matrix and Pay Level. That is the figure in the historical notice, not confirmation of current compensation.
What did the 2023 application and exam instructions require?
The High Court’s candidate instructions for the 2023 examination said, “Candidates must fill up the online application form in English language only.” For the examination, candidates were instructed to download an admit card from the Delhi High Court website and bring it with original, valid photo identification. The instructions did not permit an image of identity proof displayed on a mobile phone. These instructions applied to the 2023 examination; candidates in another cycle should follow its own official instructions.

Where should applicants look for a current Delhi Higher Judicial Service notice?
The High Court’s job-openings listing shows a separate Delhi Higher Judicial Service Examination 2026 notice dated 1 July 2026. It is a different recruitment cycle. For its application status, eligibility, dates and instructions, use that cycle’s official advertisement and live notices rather than carrying over the 2023 rules or schedule.
The High Court’s job-openings archive records the 2023 advertisement, online application notice and candidate instructions on 14 July 2023, followed by a preliminary admit-card notice on 16 August 2023. Those archived listings provide a record of the completed cycle, not an application route for new candidates.
