DCC announced an enterprise value of approximately £100 million in July 2025, but said the net cash proceeds to DCC were not material. Those figures are not interchangeable.
What DCC sold to AURELIUS
DCC’s formal description was its DCC Technology Info Tech business in the UK and Ireland—not every Exertis-branded company or all of DCC Technology worldwide. Exertis identified the businesses included in the transaction as:
- Exertis UK Business and Consumer
- Hypertec
- Exertis Supplies
- Exertis Ireland
- Macro EV
- Exertis Supply Chain Services
- MTR
- Ztorm
AURELIUS described the operation as a distributor of technology products to consumer and business customers, and a service provider to customers and technology vendors. AURELIUS’s announcement provides its description of the business; Exertis’s update lists the companies in scope.
How much was the Exertis business sold for?
DCC announced an enterprise value of approximately £100 million on 14 July 2025. The figure was stated on a cash-free, debt-free basis with normalised working capital; it is not a disclosed amount of cash paid to DCC. DCC’s sale announcement also reported revenue of £2 billion for the financial year ended 31 March 2025 and a contribution of approximately 1% of DCC’s continuing operating profit.

These details were in DCC’s transaction terms announcement; the disclosures do not give a final cash-proceeds amount.

Why did DCC sell it?
DCC presented the sale as part of simplifying the group and focusing on its energy business. That is the company’s stated rationale. In July, CEO Donal Murphy said DCC was confident AURELIUS would be a strong partner and that the transaction would create opportunities for the team. These were management’s expectations at announcement, not evidence of results after the sale. Murphy’s statement appeared in DCC’s July announcement.
