Re:

Cyber Monday streaming deals extended? What the 2025 Paramount+, Disney+, Hulu and YouTube TV offers actually saved

The 2025 Cyber Monday streaming deals have expired. Here is what the $2.99 Paramount+, HBO Max and Starz offers—and the Disney+, Hulu, YouTube TV and Walmart+ promotions—actually included, who qualified and what happened after the introductory price.
From TheFinanceBase Team18 min to read
Status as of August 10, 2026: The deals in this article have expired. They were U.S. Black Friday and Cyber Monday promotions from 2025, not live offers. The Disney+/Hulu $4.99 promotion ended December 1, 2025; Paramount+ ended December 2; the Disney+/Hulu/ESPN Unlimited launch offer ended January 5, 2026; and the reported YouTube TV offers ended in late December 2025 or early January 2026, depending on the offer.

The headline price was real, but it referred to several different promotions: Paramount+ Essential or Premium for $2.99 per month for two months, HBO Max Basic With Ads for $2.99 per month for 12 months, and Starz for $2.99 per month for three months. The cheapest listed promotion was actually Frndly TV at $0.99 per month for three months.

This recap explains what each 2025 deal included, who qualified, what the subscription renewed at, and which offers were still available after Cyber Monday. Do not use the old prices as current checkout offers. The official signup page and offer terms—not an archived deal article—control availability.

What was still available after Cyber Monday?

There was no single extended streaming deal. Each service set its own deadline, and some editorial pages continued displaying promotions after the associated checkout offer had disappeared.

  • Disney+ and Hulu at $4.99 per month: ended December 1, 2025, so it was no longer available when some Cyber Monday coverage remained online.
  • Paramount+ at $2.99 per month: remained available through December 2, 2025, for the first two months.
  • Disney+, Hulu and ESPN Unlimited: was a separate launch promotion that ran until January 5, 2026.
  • YouTube TV: had more than one reported holiday offer. One was $62.99 per month for five months and was scheduled to end December 31, 2025. Another was reported at $72.99 per month for three months with a January 4, 2026 deadline.
  • Some other promotions: had service-specific or undisclosed deadlines. TODAY, for example, listed an FuboTV promotion without a firm end date.

The original Tom’s Guide live-deals page was updated December 3, 2025, but its continued availability does not mean every promotion was still active. That is an important distinction for anyone finding the page through search in 2026. You can review the original roundup at Tom’s Guide and the different reported deadlines at TODAY.

Quick verdict: which 2025 offer was best?

  • Best long-duration on-demand value: Disney+ and Hulu with ads at $4.99 per month for 12 months. The promotional-year cost was $59.88, compared with about $155.88 at the then-current $12.99 monthly price.
  • Best Paramount+ promotion: Paramount+ Premium at $2.99 per month for two months, because Premium and Essential cost the same during the promotion. The short term made it best for a targeted binge rather than a year-round subscription.
  • Best live-TV and sports discount: YouTube TV at $62.99 per month for five months, saving approximately $100 in total compared with the $82.99 base rate.
  • Best deal for an existing Walmart shopper: Walmart+ at $49 for a year, including a choice of ad-supported Paramount+ Essential or Peacock Premium, if the household also valued Walmart+ delivery and shopping benefits.
  • Lowest advertised monthly price: Frndly TV at $0.99 per month for three months, but its family, lifestyle and nostalgia-focused channel lineup is much narrower than a general entertainment service.
  • Best long annual price for a specific movie and TV library: Starz at $11.99 for one year, provided the subscriber wanted Starz content and remembered to review renewal terms.

A large percentage discount is not automatically the best value. A 77% discount lasting two months may save less money and provide less useful viewing time than a smaller discount lasting a full year.

Paramount+ at $2.99: the same sale price for Essential and Premium

The central $2.99 claim referred mainly to Paramount+. Both the Essential and Premium plans were offered at $2.99 per month for the first two months. That made Premium the logical choice for an eligible customer who wanted its extra features and SHOWTIME content, because the promotional price did not increase for the upgrade.

Essential was the ad-supported plan. Premium offered mostly ad-free on-demand viewing and additional features, but it was not a promise of zero advertising everywhere: live TV, sponsorships and promotional material can still contain ads or promotional interruptions. Paramount’s general plan description explains the distinction on its current plans page.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

The promotion was for monthly subscriptions, available to new and eligible returning subscribers. It could not be combined with another offer or free trial. The subscription automatically renewed at the then-current full price unless canceled. Based on the 2025 reference prices, the two-month promotional cost was $5.98. The savings compared with Essential were about $10 over two months; compared with Premium, about $20.

The offer expired December 2, 2025. It should not be confused with Paramount+’s current public pricing, which, as of August 10, 2026, lists plans starting at $8.99 per month and Premium at $13.99 per month. Current prices and eligibility should be checked at Paramount+, not inferred from the old promotion.

Disney+ and Hulu: the strongest year-long on-demand value

The $4.99-per-month Disney+ and Hulu bundle was arguably the best broad entertainment deal of the 2025 season for a household that accepted ads. It lasted 12 months, so the promotional-year total was $59.88 before tax. At the then-current $12.99 monthly reference price, a full year would have cost about $155.88, producing nominal savings of $96.

The deal included the ad-supported versions of Disney+ and Hulu. Existing Disney+, Hulu, ESPN or bundle subscribers were excluded, and a current subscriber generally could not simply apply the sale price to an existing account. Eligibility was limited to new and eligible returning customers under the official Disney offer terms.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

The $14.99 Premium version lasted for the same 12 months, compared with a $19.99 reference price. It was a better fit for viewers willing to pay more to avoid on-demand ads. However, even a premium bundle should not be described as universally ad-free: select live and linear programming may still contain ads.

Disney also ran a separate launch offer for the Disney+, Hulu and ESPN Unlimited bundle. The ad-supported version was $29.99 per month for 12 months instead of $35.99, while the Premium version was $38.99 instead of $44.99. Each saved $6 per month, or $72 over the promotional year. Some secondary coverage described the offer using a 44% savings figure, but comparing the official $29.99 and $35.99 prices produces a discount of about 17%. The direct prices and duration are the safer way to evaluate it.

The ESPN-inclusive launch offer ended January 5, 2026. It was not the same offer as the $4.99 Disney+/Hulu bundle, which did not include ESPN Unlimited.

Where do Disney+ and Hulu content appear?

A bundle does not necessarily put every program in one application. Disney says select Hulu content is available inside Disney+, while additional Hulu content remains in the Hulu app. A subscriber should expect to use both services rather than assume that the bundle creates one completely unified library.

For comparison only, Disney’s current Duo page lists an ad-supported bundle at $11.99 per month for six months, then $12.99, and a Premium version at $17.99 for six months, then $19.99. Those are current comparison prices as of August 10, 2026—not a replacement claim for the expired 2025 promotion. See Disney’s current bundle page before subscribing.

YouTube TV: a cable replacement, not a cheap streamer

The reported headline YouTube TV deal was $62.99 per month for five months, compared with an $82.99 base-plan price at the time. That reduced the bill by $20 per month and saved approximately $100 across the five discounted months. It was intended for new subscribers and was scheduled to end December 31, 2025.

A separate report from TODAY listed $72.99 per month for three months, with a January 4, 2026 deadline. These should not be combined into one offer. Different landing pages, offer windows or customer segments may explain the discrepancy. The correct price was the one displayed after entering the account and payment details on the applicable YouTube TV signup page.

YouTube TV’s value comes from live channels, sports and unlimited DVR—not from having the lowest total streaming bill. Local station availability depends on the subscriber’s ZIP code, so check the lineup before treating it as a replacement for cable. It is also not a replacement for an on-demand service such as Disney+ or Apple TV.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

YouTube TV allows cancellation at any time, but its terms say it does not provide refunds for partial billing periods. That means canceling just after a monthly charge generally stops the next renewal rather than returning part of the current month’s payment. The holiday discount itself expired. As a current comparison point, YouTube TV displayed $67.99 per month for the first three months, then $82.99, for new users, with the listed offer ending August 26, 2026. Verify that offer at YouTube TV because promotional pricing changes.

Walmart+ at $49: valuable only if you use the membership

The Walmart+ holiday promotion charged $49 for one year instead of the $98 annual reference price. It included a choice of ad-supported Paramount+ Essential or ad-supported Peacock Premium. Members could switch between the two available streaming benefits every 90 days under Walmart’s terms.

This was not free Paramount+ or free Peacock. The household first had to pay for Walmart+, then separately activate the streaming benefit. Walmart says registration is required for the selected service. An existing direct Paramount+ or Peacock subscription may also need to be canceled or handled carefully before activation.

Switching can have consequences. Walmart’s terms state that an upgraded Paramount+ Premium plan may be terminated when a member switches streaming providers. In other words, the Walmart+ benefit is not equivalent to a direct Premium subscription, and upgrading the included service can complicate a later switch.

The promotion price expired, but the streaming benefit continues to be governed by Walmart+’s current benefit page and membership terms. The deal made financial sense mainly for people who already valued Walmart+’s shipping, delivery, fuel or other benefits.

Other 2025 offers: choose by viewing need

HBO Max Basic With Ads at $2.99 for 12 months

The 2025 HBO Max promotion charged $2.99 per month for 12 months instead of a $10.99 reference price. It was available to new and returning customers through the service and selected participating billing platforms. The full promotional cost was $35.88 before tax, versus about $131.88 at the reference price.

The plan was the ad-supported tier, so it was not appropriate for someone seeking ad-free viewing. The service returned to the HBO Max name from Max on July 9, 2025; older articles may still use Max. Warner Bros. Discovery announced the change in its official rebrand announcement.

Apple TV at $5.99 for six months

Apple TV was offered at $5.99 per month for six months instead of $12.99. It targeted new and eligible returning subscribers, but some customers billed through third parties were not eligible. The six-month promotional cost was $35.94 before tax. Afterward, the subscription renewed at the regular monthly rate unless canceled.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

This was a good short-term option for someone targeting Apple’s original programming rather than a replacement for a broad live-TV package. The offer details were reported by AppleInsider.

Starz at $11.99 for a year or $2.99 for three months

Starz had two different offers. The annual plan cost $11.99 for one year instead of $69.99, while the monthly plan cost $2.99 for three months instead of approximately $10.99 per month. The annual deal was the better total-price option for someone certain they wanted the service for the year; the monthly deal reduced the commitment for a specific show or movie binge.

Both versions required attention to renewal. An annual plan can create a larger one-time or annual renewal charge, while the monthly plan can jump after only three months. Check the account’s next billing date and price immediately after signup.

Frndly TV at $0.99 for three months

Frndly TV had the lowest headline monthly price in the roundup: $0.99 per month for three months instead of $8.99. It focuses on live and on-demand family, lifestyle and nostalgia-oriented channels. It is therefore the cheapest option only if that channel mix matches what the household wants; it is not a general substitute for Disney+, Hulu, Paramount+ or YouTube TV.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Prime Video channel add-ons

Prime Video offered temporary discounts of roughly $1.50 to $5.99 per month depending on the channel, with promotional periods commonly lasting two, six or 12 months. These were add-on subscriptions for eligible Prime Video subscribers, not necessarily the same as subscribing directly to each service.

The convenience is consolidated viewing and billing inside Prime Video. The trade-off is that each channel can have its own terms, renewal price and cancellation path. Canceling a standalone subscription does not necessarily cancel a Prime Video add-on, and canceling Prime membership should not be assumed to cancel every channel automatically.

How ads affected the value

Plan names can make a promotion look better than it is if the ad tier is not visible. The 2025 offers broke down as follows:

  • Disney+ and Hulu at $4.99: with ads.
  • Disney+ and Hulu Premium at $14.99: without on-demand ads, but select live and linear content could still contain ads.
  • Paramount+ Essential: ad-supported.
  • Paramount+ Premium: no ads on most on-demand programming, but live TV and promotional material could still include advertising or sponsorship.
  • HBO Max Basic With Ads: with ads.
  • Walmart+’s included Paramount+ and Peacock: the ad-supported tiers, not the premium ad-free versions.
  • Disney+/Hulu/ESPN Unlimited Premium: Disney+ and Hulu were the premium portions, but ESPN live programming remained ad-supported.

If avoiding ads is your priority, compare the actual tier rather than the service name. A plan advertised as premium or ad-free may still include ads around live channels, linear programming, sponsorships or service promotions.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Who qualified—and why a deal might fail at checkout

Eligibility was not interchangeable across services:

  • Paramount+: new and eligible returning subscribers on monthly plans. The offer was not transferable, could not be stacked with another offer or free trial, and did not necessarily apply to every recently canceled account.
  • Disney+ and Hulu: new and eligible returning subscribers. Existing Disney+, Hulu, ESPN and bundle subscribers were excluded from the 2025 promotion.
  • YouTube TV: the reported holiday offers were for new users.
  • Apple TV: new and eligible returning users, with restrictions for some customers billed through third parties.
  • HBO Max: new and returning customers, subject to the participating billing channel.
  • Walmart+: required a Walmart+ membership and separate activation of the selected streaming benefit.
  • Prime Video add-ons: required an eligible Prime Video account, with separate channel-level terms.

A deal can also fail because the subscriber is using Apple, Google Play, Roku, Amazon, Hulu or another third-party billing relationship. The service may see that account as active even after the customer has requested cancellation, or may not permit a promotion to be applied through that billing platform.

If a promotion appears in an article but disappears at checkout, do not assume the price will be honored. Check the official landing page, the account’s eligibility message and the final order summary. The checkout price and offer terms are controlling.

What happens after the promotional period?

The most important number is often the renewal price, not the sale price. These offers generally auto-renewed:

Free tools Windows power users keep installed

One-click scans. No signup required.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.
  • Paramount+: renewed monthly at the then-current full price unless canceled. The service’s subscription terms specifically describe automatic recurring billing at the then-current price.
  • Disney bundles: renewed at the then-current regular bundle price after the promotional term.
  • YouTube TV: returned to the regular base-plan price after the discounted months.
  • Apple TV: returned to its regular monthly price after six months.
  • HBO Max and Starz: renewed at the regular plan price unless canceled.
  • Walmart+: renewed at the then-current Walmart+ membership fee.
  • Prime Video add-ons: renewed according to each channel’s own terms and price.

For the Disney+/Hulu $4.99 offer, the jump from $4.99 to $12.99 was $8 per month. For Paramount+ Premium, the 2025 reference jump from $2.99 to $12.99 was $10 per month after only two months. Those are manageable charges for a deliberate subscription, but easy to miss when several services renew in different months.

Can you cancel immediately and keep the promotion?

For many monthly subscriptions, canceling immediately after signup prevents the next renewal while access continues through the paid promotional period. The exact result depends on the service, billing provider and offer terms, so confirm the account page rather than relying on a general rule.

  • Disney: its terms state that cancellation during the initial promotional term becomes effective at the end of that term. After the initial term, cancellation generally takes effect at the end of the monthly billing period.
  • YouTube TV: cancellation can be made at any time, but partial billing periods are not refunded.
  • Walmart+: cancellation generally ends benefits at the end of the applicable membership term under Walmart’s terms.
  • Third-party subscriptions: cancellation must usually be completed through the provider that bills the customer, such as Apple, Google, Roku, Amazon or a Prime Video channel page.

After canceling, save the confirmation email and check the account page for an end date. A cancellation request without confirmation is not a reliable record.

Which deal should you choose?

If your priority is… The 2025 offer that fit best Why—and the catch
Disney movies, family programming and Hulu for a year Disney+ and Hulu with ads at $4.99/month for 12 months Longest broad on-demand discount; existing subscribers were generally excluded and ads were included.
A Paramount+ show or short movie binge Paramount+ Premium at $2.99/month for 2 months Premium and Essential cost the same during the sale; the price rose after only two months.
Live sports, local channels and a cable replacement YouTube TV at $62.99/month for 5 months Approximately $100 total savings, but still a high monthly bill and ZIP-code-dependent local lineup.
Walmart delivery and an included streamer Walmart+ at $49/year Included ad-supported Paramount+ Essential or Peacock Premium; activation and switching rules applied.
The lowest possible monthly charge Frndly TV at $0.99/month for 3 months Only worthwhile if its narrower family, lifestyle and nostalgia lineup is sufficient.
Ad-free on-demand viewing Paramount+ Premium or a premium Disney/Hulu tier Neither should be treated as completely ad-free for live or linear programming, and premium tiers cost more after the sale.
A full year of a specific premium library Starz annual plan at $11.99 Very low total promotional cost, but annual renewal can create a larger charge if forgotten.
The lowest total spending rather than the biggest discount percentage Compare the total promotional cost and your viewing plan A two-month deal may cost less in total but provide less value than a 12-month deal you would actually use.

A safer way to buy streaming promotions

  1. Start with the content and format. Decide whether you need live sports and local channels, a broad on-demand library, one specific show, or a retail membership. Do not compare YouTube TV’s cable-replacement price directly with a $2.99 on-demand plan.
  2. Write down the full billing sequence. Record the promotional price, number of months, regular renewal price, taxes if shown and expected first full-price billing date.
  3. Check eligibility before canceling anything. A current, recently canceled or third-party-billed account may not qualify as an eligible returning subscriber.
  4. Confirm the tier. Look for Essential versus Premium, Basic With Ads versus a higher HBO Max tier, and ad-supported versus premium Walmart+ benefits.
  5. Check whether the services use separate apps. Disney+ and Hulu share a bundle but not every piece of content in one application. Walmart+ requires separate streaming activation, and Prime Video add-ons are channel subscriptions.
  6. Set a reminder before renewal. Use a calendar reminder at least several days before the promotional period ends. For a two-month offer, set it immediately after subscribing.
  7. Cancel through the actual billing provider. A direct subscription, Apple subscription, Roku subscription, Amazon channel and Prime Video add-on may all have different account pages.
  8. Keep the evidence. Save the receipt, promotional terms and cancellation confirmation. These documents are useful if the final charge does not match the signup offer.

What is available now instead?

Because the 2025 promotions are expired, readers looking for a subscription in August 2026 should use current official pages rather than the historical prices above. The following were the comparison offers surfaced in the research as of August 10, 2026:

These current offers may change before publication or checkout. They are comparison points, not evidence that the 2025 Cyber Monday deals were extended.

Cyber Monday 2026 falls on November 30, 2026. A future live roundup should replace every 2025 price, eligibility rule and deadline only after the services publish official promotions and the offer is verified at checkout. The date is listed by Timeanddate.com.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are the $2.99 Cyber Monday streaming deals still live?

No. The $2.99 Paramount+ promotion ended December 2, 2025. The $2.99 HBO Max Basic With Ads and Starz promotions also expired, although they had different promotional durations. Archived deal pages can remain searchable after checkout offers end.

What was the cheapest 2025 streaming deal?

Frndly TV was listed at $0.99 per month for three months, but it has a narrower family, lifestyle and nostalgia-oriented channel lineup. The main $2.99 offers included Paramount+, HBO Max Basic With Ads and Starz.

Could existing Disney+ or Hulu subscribers get the $4.99 bundle?

Generally no. The official 2025 terms excluded current Disney+, Hulu, ESPN and existing bundle subscribers. Eligibility for returning subscribers was also subject to the service’s specific account rules.

Did Paramount+ Premium have no ads?

Paramount+ Premium was largely ad-free for on-demand programming, but live TV and promotional material could still contain advertising, sponsorships or promotional interruptions. It was not a guarantee of zero advertising everywhere.

What did the Disney+ and Hulu $4.99 deal cost after the promotion?

The 2025 offer automatically renewed at $12.99 per month, or the then-current price, after 12 promotional months unless canceled. The promotional-year total was $59.88 before tax.

Can I cancel a streaming deal immediately?

Often, canceling immediately prevents the next renewal while access continues through the paid promotional period, but the exact result depends on the service and billing provider. Disney stated that cancellation during the initial promotional term became effective at the end of that term. YouTube TV did not provide refunds for partial billing periods.

Why were two different YouTube TV Cyber Monday prices reported?

Coverage reported both $62.99 per month for five months, with a December 31, 2025 deadline, and $72.99 per month for three months, with a January 4, 2026 deadline. They should be treated as separate offers, possibly tied to different windows, landing pages or customer segments—not as one interchangeable promotion.

Did Walmart+ include ad-free Paramount+?

No. The 2025 Walmart+ promotion included a choice of ad-supported Paramount+ Essential or Peacock Premium. It required a Walmart+ membership and separate activation. Upgrading or switching benefits could be subject to additional restrictions.

Did the Disney+ and Hulu bundle include ESPN?

The $4.99 Disney+/Hulu offer did not include ESPN Unlimited. Disney separately offered Disney+, Hulu and ESPN Unlimited at $29.99 per month with ads or $38.99 Premium for 12 months. ESPN live programming remained ad-supported even in the Premium version.

Is HBO Max the same service formerly called Max?

Yes. Warner Bros. Discovery reverted the branding from Max to HBO Max on July 9, 2025. The $2.99 promotion was for the Basic With Ads plan.

The Bottom Line

Bottom line: The 2025 Cyber Monday promotions were real, but they were not one extended deal and none of the researched offers is still live in August 2026. Disney+ and Hulu at $4.99 for 12 months offered the best broad, long-term on-demand value; Paramount+ Premium at $2.99 for two months was the best short binge; and YouTube TV at $62.99 for five months was the strongest cable-replacement discount. Before choosing any future promotion, compare the total promotional cost, ads, eligibility, billing platform and automatic renewal price—not just the large number in the headline.
