Where to check your CAT 2025 rank and status
Use CUSAT’s Directorate of Admissions portal, admissions.cusat.ac.in, for CAT admissions notices and candidate-profile updates. The admissions homepage publishes programme-specific instructions; sign in to your profile and check the notices for your programme rather than relying on a generic result or counselling schedule.

CUSAT also has a separate examination-results portal. That portal concerns examination results and marks; it is not a substitute for the admissions portal when you are checking a CAT rank or admission status. Its notice that the original score recorded in a mark list is final and binding applies to examination marks, not to CAT admission rank lists.
What a rank does—and does not—mean
The CUSAT Academic Prospectus 2026 states: “Being listed in the rank list alone does not entitle a candidate for admission to any programme of the University.” A rank is not an admission offer. Whether you proceed depends on the instructions and available seats for the relevant programme and admission process.

CUSAT’s 2025 prospectus describes different rank-list groups and scoring approaches for relevant programmes. Do not assume there is one common list, cutoff, or sequence of admission steps across all CAT programmes.
What to check in your programme’s latest notice
Read the notice that applies to your programme and admission year, then compare it with your candidate-profile status. Pay particular attention to:
- the programme and rank list named in the notice;
- the applicable category or quota and any eligibility conditions;
- your option or allotment status and whether a vacancy is available;
- the date and attendance requirements for counselling or real-time admission; and
- any registration and fee-payment deadlines, including the stated consequence of missing them.
These details can differ by programme. For example, CUSAT’s B.Tech real-time admission instructions for 2025 tied consideration to the CAT 2025 rank list, online registration, and available vacancies, and warned that an allotment could be cancelled if the fee was not paid. A separate B.Let notice set out its own process and date. Those notices illustrate why candidates must follow their own programme’s instructions; their dates are historical, not current deadlines.
How to avoid acting on an outdated schedule
- Open admissions.cusat.ac.in and find the latest notice for your programme.
- Confirm that the notice is for the correct admission year, programme, category or quota, and rank list.
- Sign in to your candidate profile and check your own result, registration, and allotment status.
- Follow the notice’s current event, reporting, and payment instructions. Use the listed deadline, not a date copied from an older notice.
The admissions archive contains notices from multiple years and programmes, and admission activity can continue after results are published. For that reason, an old notice—or a date from another programme—cannot establish what you should do now. The official CAT 2026 prospectus says that counselling, interview, admission schedules, instructions, and seat matrices are published on the admissions website after results, and advises candidates to monitor the homepage and log in to their home page regularly.
What is known about the result date
The result date of 4 June 2025 was reported at the time by The Indian Express and Testbook. The official material reviewed for this article establishes the admissions process and portal guidance, but does not provide a standalone dated official result announcement confirming that date. For your individual rank, allotment, or next step, rely on your signed-in profile and the applicable official notice.
