The ranking reflects CRN’s view of leadership across technology strategy, business transformation, cybersecurity, AI investment and partner ecosystems—not a published numerical scoring system.
What the 2025 ranking measures
The list is part of CRN’s Top 100 Executives of 2025. CRN focuses on leaders at technology companies and describes their influence through strategy, products and services, partner relationships, and responses to industry changes. Its profiles repeatedly address AI computing and enterprise adoption, cybersecurity, cloud services, infrastructure demand, tariffs and supply-chain disruption.
CRN does not publish a formal scoring formula or explain how it weighted those themes. The positions below are therefore CRN’s editorial ranking, not the result of a disclosed points-based comparison. The role titles are those stated in the 2025 edition and should not be assumed to describe the executives’ current positions.

Why the top three stand out in CRN’s list
1. Antonio Neri: HPE and the Juniper deal
CRN placed Neri first, associating his leadership with HPE’s completed Juniper Networks acquisition. In explaining the selection, CRN also quoted Neri on adhering to personal principles and values despite adversity: “Despite all the challenges you find out there and a lot of adversity that sometimes comes your way, the important thing is to stay true to your principles and values,” said Neri. The statement is CRN’s attribution, presented in its account of the ranking.
2. Jensen Huang: AI computing and new markets
Huang’s second-place profile centers on Nvidia’s GPU platforms for reasoning and agentic AI, while also identifying robotics and sovereign AI as areas of opportunity. That emphasis makes AI infrastructure a defining theme near the top of CRN’s ranking.
Rank #2
3. Arvind Krishna: AI in complex organizations
Krishna’s third-place profile connects AI with complex IT environments, alongside IBM’s mainframe business, acquisitions and consulting. The profile presents influence not only as building AI technology but also as applying it within established enterprise systems and services.

- It is a technology-channel viewpoint. CRN’s audience and profiles foreground technology companies, their channel and partner ecosystems, and the business effects of product and platform decisions.
- AI and security recur, but so do execution and operations. The profiles cover AI hardware, cloud and enterprise software, security platforms, infrastructure, supply chains, tariffs and corporate change.
- Rank order does not establish a measurable gap. Since CRN does not disclose weights or a scoring method, the list does not show how much more influential one person is than another, nor does it provide a reproducible way to calculate a different ranking.
- The roster is time-specific. It describes CRN’s 2025 selections and the roles and company developments in those profiles, not a live directory of executives.
Lenovo’s July 28, 2025 announcement independently confirms that Yang was included and describes CRN’s Top 100 as spanning four categories: Most Influential Executives, Channel Sales Leaders, Innovators and Channel Disrupters. That confirmation supports the category context; it does not independently validate CRN’s business rationales or financial figures for every executive.
