Accenture ranked No. 1 in CRN’s 2023 Solution Provider 500, followed by Tata Consultancy Services, Capgemini, CDW and NTT Data. The list is a historical ranking of large North American solution providers, integrators, service providers and IT consultants, measured primarily by services revenue—not a scorecard for technical quality, customer satisfaction or innovation.
CRN later corrected an error in the original data. The final ranking moved Atos from No. 26 to No. 25 and shifted seven companies below it upward. This article uses that corrected order and explains what the ranking measured, what each company did, and how useful the list remains for buyers, vendors and investors.

What CRN’s 2023 Solution Provider 500 actually measured
CRN’s 2023 Solution Provider 500 ranked North American solution providers by services revenue. The field included systems integrators, IT consultants, service providers, value-added resellers and strategic service providers. The 2023 label identifies the edition of the ranking; it does not mean that the companies were ranked on current 2023 or 2026 performance.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →The edition was assembled and published in 2023 using company financial information from 2022 and fiscal years ending during the relevant reporting period. That distinction matters. The profiles frequently cite a company’s total global revenue, while CRN’s ranking methodology is based on North American services revenue. Those are not interchangeable measurements.
#1 Best Overall
What the ranking does not tell you
- It is not a customer-satisfaction survey or independent quality rating.
- It does not directly measure profitability, recurring revenue, delivery success, employee experience, cybersecurity maturity or innovation.
- It does not identify the best provider for a particular cloud, security, software, government or infrastructure project.
- It does not compare total global corporate revenue on a consistent basis.
- It may represent a business unit, subsidiary or North American operation rather than an entire corporate group. IBM Consulting, for example, is a consulting arm of IBM, while General Dynamics Information Technology is the IT business of General Dynamics.
The locations below are the North American locations shown in CRN’s article. They should not automatically be read as each company’s global headquarters. This is particularly important for Tata Consultancy Services, Wipro, Capgemini, Computacenter and Atos.

Why the original ranking had to be corrected
CRN reported that an error in the initial 2023 data caused several companies to be placed one position too low. Atos was initially shown at No. 26 but was corrected to No. 25. The correction shifted the following seven companies upward as well:
| Company | Initial rank | Corrected final rank |
|---|---|---|
| Atos | 26 | 25 |
| Optiv | 25 | 24 |
| Presidio | 24 | 23 |
| Conduent | 23 | 22 |
| EPAM Systems | 22 | 21 |
| CACI International | 21 | 20 |
| Peraton | 20 | 19 |
| Computacenter | 19 | 18 |
This is why an old screenshot, cached page or company announcement may show EPAM at No. 22, Presidio at No. 24 or Atos at No. 26. The corrected final order is the authoritative version for the 2023 list.
Company profiles: Nos. 1–5
1. Accenture
Accenture retained No. 1 for the third consecutive edition. Its business spans global consulting, systems integration, digital transformation and managed services. CRN cited fiscal 2022 company revenue of $61.6 billion and described an aggressive acquisition strategy. The profile also noted approximately 19,000 workforce reductions announced in 2023.
Accenture’s position illustrates the type of provider that sits at the top of this ranking: a global partner for large transformation programs rather than a conventional product reseller. Its work includes modernizing applications, reducing technical debt, improving resilience and operating technology environments after implementation. The $61.6 billion figure is Accenture’s reported company revenue, not the North American services-revenue figure used to establish the CRN ranking.
2. Tata Consultancy Services
Tata Consultancy Services, or TCS, held No. 2. It is a global IT-services, consulting and business-solutions company. CRN cited fiscal 2023 revenue of $27.93 billion for the year ended March 31 and highlighted its Google Cloud partnership and a TCS generative-AI announcement.
The article also recorded a leadership transition: Rajesh Gopinathan was scheduled to be succeeded by K. Krithivasan in September 2023. The New York address in CRN’s listing is a North American location; TCS’s global headquarters is in Mumbai, India. For buyers, TCS represents global delivery scale and application and business transformation capability, not simply a North American VAR.
3. Capgemini
Capgemini climbed from No. 5 to No. 3. Its services include cloud, data, artificial intelligence, enterprise management, customer experience and intelligent-industry work. CRN cited 2022 revenue of just under €22 billion and pointed to the company’s strong North American growth.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsCapgemini is headquartered globally in Paris, while CRN listed New York for North America. Its rise was one of the largest movements near the top of the table and reinforced the importance of cloud, data and digital-transformation services in the channel.
4. CDW
CDW maintained No. 4. The company combines hardware and software procurement with lifecycle services, technical support and integrated solutions. CRN said CDW served approximately 250,000 business, government, healthcare and education customers in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom and cited 2022 sales of $23.75 billion.
CDW’s acquisition of Sirius Computer Solutions expanded its consulting and services capabilities. The profile also mentioned the Locus Recruiting acquisition and cost pressure in 2023. CDW is therefore best understood as a broad technology provider that has moved further into integration and services, rather than as a pure-play consulting firm.
5. NTT Data
NTT Data fell from No. 3 to No. 5. Its global digital business includes consulting, application development, managed infrastructure, data centers, business-process outsourcing and systems integration. CRN highlighted acquisitions of Aspirent, Umvel and Apisero.

NTT Data’s global scale and North American operation should be kept separate when comparing financial figures. The ranking position reflects CRN’s North American methodology, while corporate announcements and the profile may describe the larger global business.
Company profiles: Nos. 6–10
6. Cognizant
Cognizant rose from No. 7 to No. 6. Its offerings include application development and modernization, cloud, AI, business processes, infrastructure, digital experience and security. CRN cited 2022 revenue of $19.43 billion.
Ravi Kumar S became CEO in January 2023, succeeding Brian Humphries. Cognizant’s mix places it between traditional IT outsourcing and newer digital-transformation work, making it materially different from a product-led reseller despite its presence in the same ranking.
Rank #2
7. IBM Consulting
IBM Consulting moved from No. 8 to No. 7. It provides business transformation, technology consulting and application operations. CRN cited $19.11 billion in 2022 revenue for IBM Consulting.
IBM Consulting is a business within IBM, not a standalone public company. Its position also needs to be read alongside Kyndryl’s separation from IBM in 2021. After that spin-off, IBM Consulting and Kyndryl represented separate businesses: consulting and application services on one side, and infrastructure services on the other.
8. Kyndryl
Kyndryl fell from No. 6 to No. 8. The company originated as IBM’s infrastructure-services business and now focuses on IT infrastructure services, including its Kyndryl Consult offering. CRN cited fiscal 2023 revenue of $17.03 billion for the year ended March 31, 2023, down from $18.32 billion.
The profile described Kyndryl’s Three-A’s strategy—alliances, advanced delivery and accounts—along with an SAP partnership and workforce streamlining. Kyndryl’s movement demonstrates how corporate separation and revenue transition can affect a ranking even when a company remains one of the largest infrastructure-service providers.
9. World Wide Technology
World Wide Technology, commonly known as WWT, rose from No. 10 to No. 9. Its Advanced Technology Center is a major differentiator: customers and technology partners can test and validate solutions before deployment. CRN highlighted partnerships with Cisco, Dell Technologies, HPE, NetApp and VMware.

The article cited approximately $17 billion in annual company revenue, but that number should not be treated as the ranking denominator. WWT combines solution integration, infrastructure expertise and partner-led validation in a way that differs from a global outsourcing provider.
10. DXC Technology
DXC Technology slipped from No. 9 to No. 10. It provides global IT services and solutions. CRN cited fiscal 2023 revenue of $14.43 billion for the year ended March 31, down from $16.27 billion.
The profile discussed DXC’s operating-model transformation and cost-optimization program, as well as the end of acquisition discussions in 2023. CRN also reported an SEC settlement and an $8 million penalty. That regulatory event should be treated as a specific historical disclosure, not as a blanket conclusion about DXC’s service quality or suitability.
Company profiles: Nos. 11–17
11. Leidos
Leidos held No. 11. Its business spans aviation, defense, intelligence, government and healthcare. CRN cited fiscal 2022 revenue of $14.40 billion for the year ended December 30, 2022.

Tom Bell became CEO in May 2023, replacing retiring CEO Roger Krone. Leidos is particularly relevant to public-sector and mission-oriented technology work, where contract vehicles, security requirements and domain expertise can matter as much as general enterprise IT scale.
12. CGI
CGI rose from No. 14 to No. 12. The company provides consulting, systems integration, managed IT, application and infrastructure services, business-process services and packaged intellectual property. CRN cited fiscal 2022 revenue of CAD$12.87 billion for the year ended September 30.
Examples in the profile included CGI Advantage for state and local government and CGI Trade360 for banking. CGI therefore combines services with industry-specific software and public-sector expertise, rather than fitting neatly into either a software or consulting category.
13. General Dynamics Information Technology
General Dynamics Information Technology, or GDIT, fell from No. 12 to No. 13. It is General Dynamics’ government IT and professional-services business, serving defense, intelligence and federal-government customers through systems engineering and mission technology.
CRN highlighted six digital accelerators: zero trust, IT-operations automation, multicloud management, a software factory, 5G and mission AI/ML. The profile also cited a $1.7 billion Army flight-school support contract. GDIT’s government-contracting scale should not be compared directly with a commercial managed-service provider without considering contract structure and customer mix.
14. SHI International
SHI International fell from No. 13 to No. 14. It supplies data-center, cybersecurity, cloud, networking, lifecycle and technical-training services. Its Stratascale subsidiary adds consulting capabilities, and CRN noted SHI’s ServiceNow Elite Partner status.
SHI is a major VAR and solutions provider, not a pure consulting company. Its value to a customer can include procurement, licensing, deployment, integration and ongoing technical support in one channel relationship.
15. Wipro Technologies
Wipro Technologies held No. 15. Its capabilities include system design, engineering, operations, emerging technologies and reseller services. CRN cited fiscal 2023 revenue of $11.01 billion for the year ended March 31 and said the Americas represented nearly 60 percent of global revenue.
The profile said Wipro had approximately 20,500 employees in the United States, Canada, Brazil and Mexico. Wipro’s global headquarters is in Bengaluru, India, while CRN listed East Brunswick, New Jersey, for North America.
16. Insight Enterprises
Insight Enterprises rose from No. 17 to No. 16. It combines procurement, consulting, managed services, hardware, software and lifecycle services. CRN highlighted cloud, data-center transformation, connected workforce, intelligent edge, data, AI and cybersecurity as focus areas and cited 2022 sales of $10.43 billion.
Insight is useful as an example of the modern solution integrator: its business can begin with technology procurement but extend into architecture, deployment, managed operations and asset lifecycle work.
17. Carahsoft Technology
Carahsoft fell from No. 16 to No. 17. It operates as a government master aggregator and GSA Schedule contractor, helping federal, state and local agencies procure technology through manufacturers, resellers and channel partners.

Company profiles: Nos. 18–25
18. Computacenter
Computacenter’s corrected final rank was No. 18, up from No. 19. It provides technology sourcing, professional services and managed services across the workplace, applications, data, cloud, data center, networks and security.
Computacenter is headquartered globally in the United Kingdom, while CRN listed San Francisco as its North American location. Its North American expansion included the acquisitions of FusionStorm, Pivot and Business IT Source. CRN cited 2022 revenue of £6.47 billion.
19. Peraton
Peraton’s corrected final rank was No. 19, up from No. 20. The company focuses on defense, space, intelligence, homeland security and government technology.

CRN also highlighted a UiPath partnership for cloud-based managed automation services for government agencies. This history makes Peraton a government-technology platform shaped substantially by corporate transactions.
20. CACI International
CACI’s corrected final rank was No. 20, up from No. 21. It provides federal defense, homeland-security, intelligence and healthcare services. CRN cited fiscal 2022 revenue of $6.20 billion for the year ended June 30.
CACI illustrates why government-contracting scale should not be treated as a direct proxy for commercial enterprise IT delivery. Its customer requirements, security clearances, contract vehicles and mission programs are different from those of a private-sector cloud integrator.
21. EPAM Systems
EPAM Systems’ corrected final rank was No. 21, up from No. 22 in the initial list and No. 23 in the prior-year ranking. It specializes in software engineering, product development, digital transformation and business consulting.
CRN cited 2022 revenue of $4.82 billion, up more than 28 percent. EPAM’s presence demonstrates that software engineering and product-development expertise can support substantial services scale without resembling a broadline reseller or infrastructure operator.
22. Conduent
Conduent’s corrected final rank was No. 22. Its position was unchanged from 2022, although it moved up one place from the initial 2023 list. The company provides business-process outsourcing and technology solutions to banking, government, healthcare and transportation customers.
Its services include human-capital management, customer experience, claims and administration. Conduent was created through Xerox’s 2017 spin-off. CRN cited 2022 revenue of $3.86 billion, down from $4.14 billion.
23. Presidio
Presidio’s corrected final rank was No. 23, up from No. 24 in 2022. Its offerings include software-defined cloud, collaboration, networking and security, along with managed services and a Microsoft hybrid-cloud relationship.

CRN highlighted Presidio’s 2022 ROVE acquisition and identified BC Partners as its owner at the time of publication. Ownership and corporate details from the 2023 profile are historical and should not automatically be treated as current.
24. Optiv
Optiv’s corrected final rank was No. 24, up from No. 25. It was one of the few companies in the top 25 with a clearly cybersecurity-centered identity. Its services included cybersecurity advisory, cyber-risk management, managed security, threat assessment, incident readiness, detection and response, application security, identity, zero trust and resilience.
Optiv also offered managed SIEM, managed XDR and vulnerability management. For a security buyer, Optiv’s specialization may be more relevant than its position below much larger providers whose cybersecurity offerings are only one part of a broader portfolio.
Rank #4
25. Atos
Atos reached the corrected final rank of No. 25 after initially appearing at No. 26. Its business included global IT services, systems integration and consulting. CRN cited fiscal 2022 revenue of €11.34 billion.
Free tools Windows power users keep installed

The profile discussed a planned split into Atos and Evidian and Atos’s technology-services role for the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Those were important 2023 developments, but the planned corporate structure and other company details should be understood as historical rather than as a description of Atos today.
Financial figures cited in the CRN profiles
CRN used services revenue in the ranking, but its individual profiles often supplied broader company or segment figures. The following amounts are useful context only; they cannot be used to reconstruct the ranking.
| Company | Revenue cited by CRN | Reporting period |
|---|---|---|
| Accenture | $61.6 billion | Fiscal 2022, ended August 31 |
| Tata Consultancy Services | $27.93 billion | Fiscal 2023, ended March 31 |
| Capgemini | Just under €22 billion | 2022 |
| CDW | $23.75 billion | 2022 |
| Cognizant | $19.43 billion | 2022 |

| EPAM Systems | $4.82 billion | 2022 |
| Conduent | $3.86 billion | 2022 |
These figures use different currencies, fiscal calendars, geographic scopes, accounting definitions and business-unit boundaries. Some are total-company figures; IBM Consulting is a segment or business unit. Do not add them together, rank the companies by these amounts or assume that the largest reported corporate revenue must produce the highest CRN position.
A discrepancy in the combined-revenue figure
CRN’s 2023 article reported that the Solution Provider 500 generated $468.2 billion in 2022 revenue. However, contemporaneous company announcements quoting CRN— including CDW’s announcement and ePlus’s announcement—described the 2023 class as representing more than $475.9 billion. CRN’s subsequent 2024 article also cited $475.9 billion in 2022 revenue for the 2023 class.
CRN does not publicly explain the discrepancy in the accessible material. The safest treatment is to report both figures and identify the total as disputed, rather than silently selecting one or presenting either amount as settled.
The biggest movements from 2022 to 2023
The top 10 companies were the same as in 2022, but their internal order changed. That is a more accurate description than saying that the entire top of the market was radically reshuffled.

Global scale dominated the top
The top 10 included Accenture, TCS, Capgemini, NTT Data, Cognizant, IBM Consulting, Kyndryl, WWT and DXC. These providers generally serve large enterprises and governments through consulting, systems integration, cloud, infrastructure, application services and managed operations. Their scale can support multinational delivery, but scale alone does not establish that one is the right choice for a particular project.
One linear ranking hides very different business models
The list places global consultancies, technology resellers, federal contractors, government aggregators, cybersecurity specialists, business-process outsourcers, software-engineering companies and infrastructure operators in one sequence. Optiv, Carahsoft, EPAM, CDW and Accenture may all appear on the same list, but they do not sell the same service or accept the same type of engagement.
This is the central interpretive limitation of the ranking: revenue creates an order, but it does not create comparability. A buyer should first identify the provider’s actual revenue engine—consulting, resale, managed services, outsourcing, software engineering or government contracting.
Government and defense were major parts of the market
Leidos, GDIT, Peraton, CACI and Carahsoft had major government or defense exposure. Accenture, IBM, DXC, CGI and other companies also serve public-sector customers. Government-contracting revenue can depend on contract vehicles, security clearances, classified or mission work, subcontracting structures and agency relationships. Those factors differ substantially from commercial cloud migration or managed-service revenue.
Corporate structure influenced the results
The 2023 ranking reflected major structural changes, including Kyndryl’s recent separation from IBM, acquisitions by Accenture, CDW, NTT Data and Computacenter, Peraton’s expansion through acquisitions, Atos’s planned split, and private-equity ownership of Presidio at the time of CRN’s article. IBM Consulting and GDIT also show how a large corporate group may appear through a named business unit rather than as a standalone company.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsAI was emerging, but it was not yet the list’s organizing principle
The 2023 article appeared during the early enterprise generative-AI wave. It referenced TCS generative AI, GDIT’s mission AI/ML accelerator, Capgemini’s data and AI work, and AI-related transformation across the broader group. It should not be rewritten as though it were a 2026 AI ranking. CRN’s 2026 coverage explicitly places more emphasis on AI adoption, agentic applications and AI infrastructure.
How relevant is the 2023 ranking today?
It remains useful as a historical snapshot of channel scale and as a record of how the market was organized in 2023. It is not a current recommendation list.
For a later comparison, CRN’s 2026 top 25, current as of August 10, 2026, is:

Atos, Optiv, Presidio, Conduent and EPAM Systems were no longer in the 2026 top 25. That does not necessarily mean that any of them left the broader Solution Provider 500; it only establishes that they were absent from the latest top 25 comparison.

How vendors, buyers and investors should use the list
The ranking is a useful first filter for scale, channel reach and market presence. It should be followed by service-specific due diligence.

This categorization is an editorial synthesis of the companies’ described offerings, not an official CRN classification. A provider can appear in several categories, and its capabilities may vary by country, subsidiary, contract vehicle or partner ecosystem.
Questions to ask before selecting a provider
- Is the provider’s revenue primarily consulting, resale, managed services, outsourcing or government contracting?
- Does it have the certifications, clearances and named specialists required for the work?
- Can it serve the customer’s geography, industry and data-residency requirements?
- Will it handle implementation, migration and ongoing operations, or only one phase?
- Is the proposal dependent on a particular cloud, security, hardware or software ecosystem?
- Can the provider supply references for comparable customers and outcomes?
- What work is delivered directly, and what is performed by subcontractors or offshore teams?
- What percentage of the engagement is recurring, and how are renewals priced?
- How will success be measured beyond billable hours and project completion?
- Will the customer receive a named delivery team or a pooled global delivery model?
- How have recent acquisitions, spin-offs or ownership changes affected account continuity and support?
What the list means for technology vendors
For a technology vendor, a high rank may indicate distribution reach, implementation capacity, global sales coverage or access to government procurement. It does not mean that every company is an equally suitable channel partner. Vendors should evaluate certification depth, competitive conflicts, attach rates, pipeline quality, services capability, geographic coverage and whether the provider’s incentives favor the vendor’s product.
What it means for investors and analysts
The list can help identify scale leaders and structural trends, including the convergence of resale, consulting and managed services, the importance of public-sector spending, and the role of acquisitions in building capabilities. It is not, by itself, an investment ranking. The cited revenues use different periods and definitions, and a higher services-revenue position says nothing directly about margins, cash flow, leverage, customer concentration or shareholder returns.
Common mistakes when reading the 2023 list
Confusing company revenue with ranking revenue
It is inaccurate to say that Accenture ranked first simply because it reported $61.6 billion in total revenue. CRN’s ranking uses North American services revenue, while the profile figure is company-wide fiscal 2022 revenue.
Treating the list as U.S.-only
CRN describes the ranking as North American. Canadian companies and multinational companies with North American operations are included. A North American location in the article does not establish global headquarters.
Assuming every entry is an independent company
IBM Consulting and GDIT are the clearest examples of named business units within larger corporate groups. Their reported figures and strategic decisions may not be directly comparable with those of independent public companies.

Calling the companies the best
Top means largest under CRN’s methodology. It does not mean best for every buyer, most profitable, most innovative or most secure.
Bottom line
CRN’s 2023 Solution Provider 500 top 25 was a scale ranking, with Accenture at No. 1 and a field ranging from global systems integrators to federal contractors, VARs, software engineers, business-process outsourcers and cybersecurity specialists. The corrected order matters, especially for the companies ranked Nos. 18 through 25.
Use the list to understand historical channel scale and shortlist provider types—not to make a procurement or investment decision from rank alone. Check the provider’s current ownership, leadership, financial condition, delivery model, references, certifications, contract vehicles and fit for the specific work.

Frequently Asked Questions
What did CRN’s 2023 Solution Provider 500 rank?
CRN ranked North American solution providers, integrators, service providers, IT consultants, VARs and strategic service providers primarily by services revenue. It was not a quality, customer-satisfaction or innovation ranking.
Who was No. 1 in CRN’s 2023 Solution Provider 500?
Accenture was No. 1, followed by Tata Consultancy Services, Capgemini, CDW and NTT Data.
Why do some older versions show Atos at No. 26?
CRN initially placed Atos at No. 26 because of a data error. It later corrected Atos to No. 25 and shifted Computacenter, Peraton, CACI, EPAM, Conduent, Presidio and Optiv upward by one position.
Is CRN’s 2023 top 25 still current?
No. It is a historical 2023 edition based on earlier reporting periods. As of CRN’s 2026 top-25 comparison dated August 10, 2026, 20 of the 2023 top 25 remained in the latest top 25. The other five were no longer in that top 25, but that does not necessarily mean they left the broader Solution Provider 500.
Can the revenue figures in CRN’s profiles be added together to reproduce the ranking?
No. The figures use different fiscal periods, currencies, geographic scopes, accounting definitions and business-unit boundaries. They also include a mixture of total-company and segment revenue, whereas CRN’s ranking uses North American services revenue.
The Bottom Line
Bottom line: The 2023 CRN Solution Provider 500 top 25 is best used as a historical map of North American channel scale. Accenture led the corrected list, but the entries represent very different business models. Rank is a starting point for research—not proof of quality, current relevance or fit.
